MALLORY:

I awoke and found myself on a bed in a white-painted room. The medical monitor beeped near my head, and a ventilator was connected to my nostrils.

"What am I doing here?" I asked myself, pulling off the IV drip and equipment as I carefully sat up on the bed.

I recalled the eve of my 18th birthday.

"Ace..." I tried to mind-link him, but there was no connection with my mate.

"Ace..." I got down from the hospital bed and saw that I was wearing a white dress and my feet were bare.

I rushed out of the hospital room, but a female nurse and a male doctor stopped me.

"Hey! Where are you rushing to? Come back here!" The young female nurse chased after me and caught my left arm.

"Let me go!" I screamed, crying and trying to break free from her strong hold. But she held me firmly.

"No. You are sick and were brought in here as an outsider. You cannot go anywhere except to our palace for our Alpha's son to decide on you," she said. I grasped my hand away from hers and glared at her.

"What's that supposed to mean? Isn't this my father's pack? The Bright Moon Pack?" I demanded, and the nurse looked at me with shock and shook her head. Her enchanting yellow eyes widened with disbelief, but she quickly explained, "No. You are in the Crescent Moon Pack. This is our pack's hospital. You were spotted at the pack's border severely injured two weeks ago, and our warriors brought you here. You were in a coma since then, and they will soon come and pick you up once they receive the notification that you are awake. So, you have to cooperate and tell our Alpha the truth as to why you were sent away from your old pack—unless you want to get sent away and remain a rogue." I looked at her beautiful fair face with disbelief.

"What? Was I truly banished from the Bright Moon Pack? I thought my father didn't mean any of it," I said, tears welling in my blue eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know what happened to you. Come with me." The nurse led me back to my hospital room and ordered me to sit on the white bed.

The pack's doctor, a young man dressed in a white doctor's coat, white dress shirt, and black trousers, came into the room to meet us. He wore a pair of black polished shoes and stood regal and tall. His cold yellow eyes watched me like a hawk.

"What's wrong with the patient, Nurse Elena? Why is she crying?" he asked the female nurse, standing in front of me as I shed tears, unable to believe that my father had banished me.

My father was everything to me. He raised me and defended me when I was a child. How could he just banish me on my 18th birthday? How? I cried, and Nurse Elena said, "I don't know what happened to her, Doctor. But she said she was banished from her father's pack—The Bright Moon Pack. I guess she is Alpha Bruce's first daughter who was rumored to have caused his first mate's death."

"What? You know my father?" I asked Nurse Elena with disbelief, and she nodded.

"Yes. Who doesn't know your father, Alpha Bruce Adonis? He has destroyed many growing packs and taken over many lands and territories. But he cannot take ours." She said with a proud smile, and the male doctor narrowed his eyes at me and said, "I will be back to check on her. I have to contact Alpha Benson to let him know that the stranger is awake—and she is Alpha Bruce's first daughter too."

"Wait, Doctor Chris! Do you think it's important to tell Alpha Benson the truth about her recovery yet? She is still recovering, and she cannot be subjected to any punishment or suffering for now. How about you allow her to heal a few more days and report to Beta Dennis that she has not woken up yet?" Nurse Elena begged on my behalf, and Dr. Chris looked at her face with disbelief.

"Nurse Elena, I see you want to banish me and make me to lose my hard work as a doctor for this foreigner!" Dr. Chris growled as he pointed at me. "She doesn't belong here, and we cannot trust any stranger from another pack—let alone an alpha wolf and an Alpha's daughter too."

"What??!" My blue eyes widened in shock.

"Wait! What did you say? I am an omega she-wolf, not an alpha wolf," I corrected Dr. Chris even though I knew he didn't like me.

"Are you seriously kidding me?" Dr. Chris glared at me and said, "You are an alpha wolf with a very strong bloodline in your veins, and you're calling yourself an omega? Haha." Dr. Chris laughed menacingly and marched up to my bed to meet me.

"Don't think I got my doctor's license to treat other werewolves in our pack for free. I studied our kinds—werewolves and humans—and I tested your blood to know the type of werewolf you are. You are a powerful alpha she-wolf, so don't tell me that crap again that you are an omega wolf. And you better not lie to the face of our Alpha. He is not as merciful as you think. Excuse me." Dr. Chris glared at me and walked away, while my jaw dropped upon hearing that I was an alpha werewolf.

I looked back at Nurse Elena, who had been kind to me, and told her, "I am an omega she-wolf since birth, and that was why I was banished from my pack—because my father thinks I am weak and cannot become the Luna. I haven't been able to shift, nor am I as powerful as Dr. Chris accused me of."

I looked at Nurse Elena with pleading eyes, and she sighed.

"Alright. I don't know what they may have told you in your former pack, but Dr. Chris is very right with his test result. So if he tells you that you are an alpha with a powerful bloodline, it's best that you believe him. I have to go now and attend to other patients. And what's your name? Because I just wrote 'foreigner' on your medical report."

"My name?" I asked Nurse Elena, and she smiled and nodded.

"Yes. What's your full name?" she repeated her questions, and I told her, "Mallory Adonis."

"Alright. Take care, Mallory. I will be back, and be ready in case the warriors come here to take you to our alpha." She said, smiling, and exited the hospital room.

I sighed and looked around the small room, wondering if I was truly an alpha wolf or if Dr. Chris was just wrong about my test result.

All my life, I had grown up believing I was an omega. Was it possible that I was an alpha and Dr. Chosen from the Bright Moon Pack had lied to my father, just to allow my father to marry his only daughter?

"Mmm..." I frowned and thought about it.

BOWEN:I was at the Pack Hospital when Eunice mind-linked me."Bowen, please, can I go and visit Mallory? Ever since Alpha Benson took her away from the farmhouse, I haven't seen her. Please…" she begged me, and I couldn't say no to her request. We had already sealed our bond. I had already marked and claimed her. Although I said we wouldn't, the mate bond was so strong that I couldn't resist the urge to touch and claim her.I had mated with her the previous night and wanted to invite her over to the hotel for us to continue, but with Emma's accident and Celine's unconscious state, I couldn't. It would be cruel of me to be mating during such critical moments for my family.Benson was weakened seeing his daughter's unconscious state. It had been more than three hours since Celine had been in a coma, yet her eyes were still shut. Her body only stirred at noise or whenever anyone touched her hands, but she wasn't waking up. She remained pale on the bed, and we feared losing her."Alright

MALLORY:Meeting Eunice’s eyes, I shook my head and denied the bond."No. Alpha Benson only wants to keep me safe. You know that I am pregnant by my rejected mate from my old pack. And also, he has other plans for business negotiations with my father," I replied, denying the bond. I knew that Eunice was my friend, but I didn't want to admit to a bond that I knew would be broken.Alpha Benson had a family. With Celine in a coma and Emma having broken her legs, I was sure that he would not leave them for me. After all, I wasn't a saint, and I was already pregnant by another man.The bond was as good as broken.Selena growled in my head, "Don't say that. Alpha Benson will not reject us!"I pushed my wolf away; I could not believe her. What was more important, if not family? I had seen the way Alpha Benson prioritized his daughter, and I knew that her happiness came first."Alright. I almost forgot that you are an Alpha wolf from the Bright Moon Pack," Eunice said, her voice full of respe

MALLORY:I was in the kitchen helping Madam Scarlet prepare dinner, as I wanted to learn how to cook so that I would be able to take care of my own children when they arrived.I stood near the kitchen cabinets, selecting the leaves and cutting them from the stem for Madam Scarlet to slice. She wanted to make vegetable soup and okra for my dinner.Just then, Beatrice arrived and dashed into the kitchen. She wore a blue dress, her body trembling as she breathed heavily, like someone who had just run a marathon."What happened, Beatrice?" Madam Scarlet and I quickly turned to face her; Madam Scarlet looked as if she feared someone was pursuing her daughter."Mom," Beatrice breathed out heavily and strode toward the kitchen cabinets to meet us, just as we stopped what we were doing and waited for her to speak. My mind raced.Did Emma try to attack Beatrice on the road? Beatrice had left for a tutorial, as she was preparing to gain admission into the pack university. So, what could be wron

ALPHA BENSON:"Calm down, Alpha. I will take you to meet Celine. Let me complete the paperwork for Emma's surgery first," Dr. Chris replied as I glared at him.Letting go of Dr. Chris' shirt, I mind-linked Bowen immediately."Where are you?""Emergency ward. The ICU," Bowen said, and my knees buckled at the thought of my little daughter clinging to life support in the ICU."Alright," I ended the mind-link and wanted to make my way to the ICU, as the hospital was crowded with the other victims' relatives crying."Ex-Luna, Emma, was at fault! She didn't concentrate on her driving or obey the traffic light. She rammed into our father's car!" The other families cried and wailed at us.Unfortunately, they were quick to dodge Emma's assault, but their car got hit, and they sustained injuries too. Before I could exit the crowded hospital lobby, as all that mattered to me was to see my daughter, my mother arrived and growled at me, "Benson, where are Emma and my granddaughter?""Mom," I sighe

EMMA:After Celine and I were done purchasing her favorite ice cream, I brought her back to my car, as the ice cream was sealed in a container, so she could only lick it with a spoon.I ignited my car to drive home, and my oldest brother, Diego, mind-linked me: "Where are you, Emma?"Gritting my teeth as I ignited the car, I replied, "I am going back home.""Home to where? Do you not feel any shame?" Diego growled at me through the mind-link. Even though he rarely talked to me or shouted at me, this was the first time that he had lost his patience after everything."What do you want? Why are you mind-linking me?" I asked him coldly, as I wanted to block him from mind-linking me. But he was my oldest brother. Though he and Nolan had gone to join the Pack warriors."Emma, how can you go back to the Alpha's palace again? Do you not feel any shame? You should reject Alpha Benson. It's rumored that he is visiting the new foreigner. He took her away from the farmhouse where foreigners are k

Emma's POV:"Mom, do you like the new house? Did Dad bring that woman here, and does he like her?" My daughter, Celine asked me as I led her to my car, and I scowled. However, I hopped into my car after Beta Dennis had bounced us out of the house like a thief caught at night."Do you like that woman too? You shouldn't like her! If you do, your Dad will marry her and not like you anymore," I told my daughter, knowing that she was learning fast and growing faster."Mmm," Celine scowled at the thought of her father not liking her anymore. She sat on the front seat with me, as I perched on the driver's seat. My anger was boiling. My wolf was urging me to accept Alpha Benson's rejection."Let's accept Alpha Benson's rejection, Emma. It's obvious that he and Odin don't want us anymore. They have rejected us. What's left to fight for? The pack members look down on you, and also, they know you were the one who cheated on their beloved Alpha," Agnes growled at me, as I fastened my daughter's s
