Samantha's POV

My curiosity for who Lila and her grandma were was starting to eat me up, especially since she said I had the scent of a rare breed. Ariana said I was a silver wolf on the day of my shifting but I had never heard about the existence of such, the closest I had gotten in my research was finding out about white wolves, a very rare kind of breed.

If I was a rare breed, was I a breed of a werewolf and some other creature or was I a breed of almost extinct wolves? The confusion was overwhelming that I needed to get my head out of it.

Alaric and I soon hit the road, driving majorly in silence untill we got to nightveil, finally.

Just as its name implied, Nightveil had a gloomy cloud over it. The moment we stepped into Nightveil, the air changed. Everything felt different, with its ancient structures, tall, mighty buildings, and strong, tall metal gates. A large compound, warriors all around, clad in less modern attire.

"Samantha." I snapped out of my observation and looked a

  • Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son   Chapter 185

Thorne’s POVThe moment Samantha began running away from the clearing, I followed her. She was fast, so fast in her human form that I could barely keep up. My worry was intense. Why was she running? Was she scared of what she was becoming? My men ran behind me, though I was a good distance ahead of them. The only ones capable of matching this pace were me and Alaric, who was trailing close behind.I was worried about Samantha. There were traps where she was heading, far away from the designated path for the Pack Run. But what scared me more was the strange presence my instincts suddenly picked up. It was a massive aura, belonging not to one person, but to an entire army. If they were intruders, how had they gotten past our defenses without being detected?I ordered my men at the fortress to circle back and intercept Samantha, but then the shocking news came through: we were being attacked by strange-looking rogues. They were massive in number, and a majority were heading straight for

  • Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son   Chapter 184

Samantha’s POVWhen I saw Alpha Thorne’s claws dig into Alaric, the memory of the faceless man suddenly flashed in my mind. It terrified me that Alpha Thorne could kill him, but I was even more scared to move an inch, because then he would certainly kill Alaric."Stop! Please!" I cried out, clutching his feet. Somehow, something inside me made me believe he’d listen, but I didn't get to see if I was right. Pain suddenly shot through me, like something was trying to reconfigure my entire system. It wasn't just my bones; it was everything. My organs, every single cell. The agony rippling through my body was unimaginable. This wasn't how my first shift felt; that had been painful, but not to this extent. This pain was primal. It was terrifying."She’s shifting..." I heard Alaric say, but another terrible jolt shot through me and I wailed. I couldn't hear anyone clearly anymore; I knew people were talking, but I didn't know who."Go away from the clearing!" Ariana suddenly spoke in my hea

  • Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son   Chapter 184

Back at the Ravenfur Pack, the clearing was set and the mating festival had begun. Young, unshifted wolves had started transforming, and unmated wolves had begun finding their fated; amongst those were Kennedy and Kayson. Meanwhile, Lily and Finn stood together, waiting for their bond to snap into place and finally, it did."So it's real. We are really mates, Finn," Lily said, elated. Finn smiled, feeling the pull just as strongly. He drew closer to her; his wolf, every part of him, wanted her desperately."The sparks... they're more intense than the first time. The pull is so strong," Finn said, taking another step as they peered into each other's eyes."Stronger than the first time," Lily agreed."This is truly a second chance, Lily.""I'm so happy, Finn. I'm so happy that I get to make up for my mistakes in the past." He smiled but didn't say anything. "Are you happy?" she asked, wanting to hear it from him, too."Of course. Everything just seems beautiful." She laughed as they mov

  • Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son   Chapter 183

Thorne's POV My men had returned after infiltrating Ravenfur pack with no trace of my mate Irene. So, Samantha was right; Irene had truly abandoned her, but why? Was it the visions?I had kept the secret of Samantha being my daughter because I wanted to see if she found a mate first on the Blue Moon. I wanted to know if Alaric truly was her mate, if he was refusing to mark her for some hidden reason. If she wasn't mated, I’d get to the bottom of it. If Alaric didn't want to make her his luna before his crown was taken away, I certainly wouldn't want him being with her when I revealed she was my daughter. He better have a good explanation, or found a new mate tonight.Today was the day of the Blue Moon. Everyone had gathered at the clearing by the woods; all pack members who had come of age were ready for their first shift, as were the unmated pack members from over the years. The Blue Moon was a great fortune; if anyone missed finding a mate now or within the next three months befo

  • Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son   Chapter 182

Samantha's POV Alpha Thorne had led me toward the center while everyone danced around us. Alaric never tore his gaze away, and I tried not to look in his direction, but I failed multiple times."Who is he to you?" Thorne asked, noticing my lack of focus."My Alpha," I simply said. I didn't want to go further into our relationship, as I sensed that was what he was probing for."Don't give me that," he said, and I gasped. He was being straightforward. "I see the way he's obsessed with you. The way he looks, the aura he has around you, and the fact that I know you can perceive his scent even when masked. There's something you're hiding." The moment he mentioned that I could perceive Alaric's scent even when masked, I was shocked. How did he know? But then, why did it bother him so much? It was our private affair. I wondered if Alaric was right about Thorne's feelings, but I almost puked at the thought. He really didn't feel that way. Even the way he held me, it wasn't the way a man woul

  • Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son   Chapter 181

Samantha's POVThe night moved along with entertainment like you'd never see in any other pack. I dared to say that the Silverbane Pack partied best, and now we were down to my favorite part: the couples' dance.Alaric's hands slid behind my waist, tugging me a little closer than the traditional distance expected of this dance. His hands intertwined with mine while I held his shoulder with my free hand for dance posture and balance. We were lost in each other's eyes, our faces pulling closer as the dance progressed.Sensations crawled through my entire body from his touch on me. Each time his hand moved an inch, the sensation increased; with each tug he made, my breath hitched. I barely coped with his intense gaze."I hate that you're wearing his clothes," Alaric said when he pulled me into his arms after a swirl with a gentle tug that got my heart racing. Our lips had almost collided; only a breath separated them."But you're the one who gets to dance with me," I said, shivering unde
