LOGINIsabey's eyes were fixed on the man. He came forward, then stopped at a distance. He was also looking so cautious. Isabey didn't pick up his scent maybe because she was so drawn in her thoughts.
"I asked you a question. Who are you? What are you doing on our land?" Isabey's gaze fixed on him. He felt the power radiating from her body. She is a Luna. "I am not here to do any harm. This land belongs to Alpha Marcus. I am a friend." He said. Isabey's heart dropped in her chest when she heard his name. "This land doesn't belong to Alpha Marcus anymore. Why are you here?" She growled. "Okay, I am here to meet my daughter. I am an Alpha. My name is Damien." He said. Isabey thought about it. She had heard his name before. It sounds familiar. Didn't remember where and when? Maybe he is an Ally of Marcus. "This land is banned. No one can enter here. Your daughter is not here. I think you came to the wrong place." She said. "As far as I remember. It was a pack. The name was Black Thunder Pack." The man said. Isabey gulped; she didn't want to cry. She gripped the hem of her shirt tightly. "Yes, it was a pack." Isabey's face clung with sadness. "I think. I should leave if my daughter is not present here, I don't have any reason to be on this land." Alpha Damien turned to go. "Wait." Isabey stopped him. He turned and looked towards her face. "What is the name of your daughter?" She asked. Alpha Damien stopped after thinking for some time. He smiled. "Edwina Rose Damien." He said. Isabey's eyes widen with shock and surprise. "My daughter is a warrior. She is always in training. However, it's been a year since she returned home. She goes for a few months without informing me, but always comes back home." He sighed. "But this time she didn't come back so I got worried about her..." He said. Isabey looked at his face to find any sign of a lie, but there was none; the man was telling the truth. Edwina Rose. How can she forget the girl? A girl who has control over Isabey's mate more than her... "So, why did you come here? You can look for her training sessions." Isabey said. "This pack was her home. She was thinking of moving here because she spent all her time here, the last time she went on training, Edwina informed me that she will not come back home. Edwina wanted to live here with..." The man stopped. "With?" Isabey asked, but the man started moving backward. "Wait!" She said, but he shifted into his wolf, running away from the place. Isabey was going to run behind him when she felt a presence. She turned around to find a wolf coming out from the bushes but she didn't flinch back. The beast came near her, then shifted in its human form. "What is taking so long? You didn't come back so I was worried about you." Louis said. He tried to grab her hand, but she moved away from him. "Nothing. I found someone here, I was talking to..." She said but stopped. He was looking at her in doubt. "What?" She asked. Louis grabbed her hand and then made her sit on a fallen log. "Isabey, there is no one here. Who were you talking to?" He asked in a soft tone. "No, there was a man. He was a wolf." She said. Louis shook his head. "Isabey, look. There is no one here. No, man. No wolf. If there had been a wolf here, he would have left a scent. But there is no trail of any scent here. Please, stop hallucinating about things..." He said, looking in her eyes. "But Louis. I am not lying. I have seen him. He was standing there..." She sobbed. Louis made her close to his body wrapping his arms strongly around her naive self. "Isabey, stop it. You are not doing any good to yourself. All these hallucinations. These people, it is just in your head. I thought you were over it." Louis kissed her forehead. "Louis, I know. It is not good for me. I don't know, I think I saw this man." She said. Louis grabbed her face in his hands and then caressed her cheeks. "Tell me. Who was he? What was his name? I will bring him to your feet at any cost." He said. She thought about it. Alpha Damien. If she were to tell him about the man. Louis will destroy his pack. He will go to any extent to bring him to her. Also, what if the man never came to Isabey? Maybe she was visualising. She thought she was over all these dreams, but it is getting worse day by day. She needs to figure out what is going on with her. The pain is not going away. "Isabey, Isabey!" Louis called her. She looked in his eyes. "I don't know. Maybe I was dreaming. I am not going crazy Louis..." She sobbed. "No, Isabey. You are fine. This is just stress, it will go away. You just need some rest. Come, let's go home. You need to sleep." He said. She nodded, then placed her head on his shoulder. Louis got up from the log. He picked her up in his arms. The sun was peeking from the east. He was walking with her back to his pack house. Their shadows were dark on the ground. Isabey looked behind to find the same scene. HIM. He was looking towards her, his eyes. She closed her eyes. Alpha Damien ran back into the forest, as he saw the wolf coming towards Isabey. He picked up his scent. He was running out of the Black Thunder Territory. He had to reach back home. He is the Alpha of the Red Crescent Pack. An honourable Alpha, but more than that, he is a loving father. Their pack is the allies of Black Thunder Pack. Marcus was like a son to him; he had seen him growing up with Edwina. They both look so good together. He smirked in his head. He finally saw the clearing. The Red Crescent Pack is a little pack. It is not popular because it has been hidden. Alpha Damien always protected his pack by not picking fights and not telling anyone about the location of his pack. He has allies, but he is still so cautious. He ran towards the deep waterfall and then jumped into it. The flow of the water was so harsh, but he swam back to the bank and then ran into the forest. Alpha Damien reached his pack boundaries, he shifted back in his human form, and carefully scanned his surroundings for any danger but it was all quiet. He entered the pack then heaved a deep peaceful sigh. He went towards the pack house. As Alpha Damien came closer to the pack house a girl ran out from inside. She ran directly to him and hugged him tightly. "Oh, Father. You came back..." She said in relief. "Haha, yes. I came back." He said and kissed her forehead. "Father, tell me. How was she?" She asked, moving away from his father. "She was the same. Broken and Miserable." He said with a sad smile. "She deserves it." The girl's eyes shine with rage. "What did you do?" She asked. "What you asked for... I am so sure. She will be here in a few days. It is just a matter of time, Edwina." Alpha Damien kissed her forehead. She smiled. "Thank you, father. I will go and tell him." She ran back inside the pack house. Edwina's heart was beating loudly. She ran upstairs towards his room. She reached the room, and she was standing on the door. With a cute smile, she knocked on the door. "Hey, can I come inside?" She asked. "From when you start asking my permission?" She heard from inside. Edwina laughed loudly and then entered the room. She blushed, looking at him, he just taken a shower, and a towel wrapped around his low belly. "Marcus..."Reuben stood still for a moment but his strength was fading he took a deep breath and sat on one of the sofas. The air between them was not as tense as before, as something had shifted in Jackson stare. His anger almost vanished there, and Reuben could see sympathy and warmth in his eyes, but it was mixed with something else… a deep emotion, and it was care. Jackson took a few steps towards him and sat beside him, he didn’t touch him, his chest rose and fell slowly, his eyes still locked on Reuben as if he was trying to see through him, trying to decide whether any of this was real or just another lie. “And then?" Jackson said again, quieter this time with a soft tone. Reuben nodded once, as if he had already accepted that there was no turning back now. His hands clapped together, his fingers curling slightly as he grounded himself. His voice, when he spoke, carried weight, not rushed, not defensive, just honest. “I knew the moment I saw you,” He said. “Not because of the bond, bu
Reuben didn’t move when Jackson grabbed his collar. The fabric of his shirt tightened under Jackson’s grip, his knuckles turning white with the force, but Reuben stood still, his eyes locked onto Jackson’s. There was no resistance in him, no attempt to break free, as if he had already accepted whatever would come next. Jackson’s breathing was uneven, his chest rising and falling sharply as anger and confusion twisted inside him, but beneath all of it… there was something else. He didn’t want to acknowledge it when he looked into Reuben’s eyes. He didn’t just see guilt. He saw deep pain, it was raw and now unhidden. “Talk,” Jackson said finally, his voice low but demanding. “You wanted me to listen… so tell me, I would listen to you." Reuben held his gaze for a second longer, as if searching for something in his eyes then slowly he reached up and removed Jackson’s hand from his collar. He didn't do it forcefully or aggressively, it was just… firmly. Jackson didn’t stop him but he
Reuben’s cabin. Jackson was standing right in front of his door. He didn't know why he had come here, but he couldn't stop himself. He was with patrol guards, and they left for their duty. And he came to Reuben's door. The bond had not let him rest for two nights; he couldn't sleep properly. The bond had pulled at him again and again, growing stronger with every passing hour, until ignoring it became impossible. But this was not why he was here.At least, that’s what he kept telling himself. This wasn’t about the bond. This was about answers and about truth, about the past that refused to stay buried.Jackson stopped and thought for a second before knocking on the door, he gulped and knocked, his gaze fixed on the wooden door. For a moment, there was no sound, the air around him felt heavy, thick with tension, like something was about to break. The two guards behind him exchanged a brief glance behind him but remained silent. Jackson motioned them to go away, then bowed their heads
Edwina stood near the window of her room, her arms wrapped around herself as she stared as a new day was upon The Black Thunder Pack. The sun rays filtered softly through the glass, casting a golden glow across her face, but the freshness of the morning or the rays of the sun didn't ease the darkness inside her chest. Edwina spent her nights looking after her little boy and waiting for Marcus in their room. But for the past two days, he never visited her once and her night got lonely, she had tried to ignore it, to convince herself that everything would remain under control. But today, he fear felt stronger.Isabey. The name alone was enough to unsettle her.Edwina closed her eyes for a moment, trying to push the thoughts away, but they only grew stronger. She had seen Marcus over the last two days. The way his expression shifted whenever Isabey was mentioned and the way his silence stretched longer than usual. The way his control tightened around something he refused to show. Marcus
The night in the Black Thunder Pack refused to settle even as the moon climbed higher into the sky. Marcus never thought his peaceful life would be disturbed so suddenly, he was ready for his wife's delivery and to spend his days with his son. But he didn't even get time to love him a little bit... His wife was taking care of their son and he can never thank her enough because it is because of her that he can work without any worry. Edwina was not only his wife but Luna of this pack and she is proving it by supporting her husband in every manner. Marcus was still in his office working, the pack house was quiet but nothing felt normal anymore, too many things had shifted in too little time, and at the center of it all was Jackson. Jackson stood near the window of his room, his broad shoulders tense as he stared out into the darkness. The training grounds were empty now, the usual noise gone, replaced by an unnatural silence that only made his thoughts louder, his fingers curled slowl
Marcus was already worried about the things happening in the pack; he never thought that one day he would realize that he had taken Louis out of the dungeons because he wanted Isabey to regain her memories. But he was still thinking about this decision, he could not do anything in a hurry. He came out of the dungeon, but he didn't go back to the pack house. There was still one thing he needed to do: he had to go to Reuben and talk to him about Jackson. The night deepened as Marcus walked toward the outer cabins with steady, his steps controlled and his expression was calm, but his mind was anything but at peace.Louis’s words echoed in his head, mixing with everything else that had begun to spiral out of control—Isabe’s return, her lost memories, the unknown threat hunting her… and now Reuben. His Beta was absent and avoiding him, also avoiding his duties. Marcus’s jaw tightened slightly, that was something he would not tolerate. The cabins stood at the edge of the pack, it was quiet
"Interesting! I was expecting something cheap from you, Louis." Marcus said. Louis growled and moved out of the circle. It was now Marcus against these ten warriors but Louis was not feeling any kind of fear in Marcus's body. "You will lose your ten men, it was not a good move, I was expecting you
Isabey opened her eyes. "Shit!" She muttered. Isabey saw a blurry scene before her eyes. But due to a dizzy head, she was unable to understand the situation. "Ugh, who?" She groaned but she didn't get a reply. Isabey then realized a wolf was dragging her inside the pack's borders. What the hell i
Louis entered the room. Isabey was sitting on the chair. Louis saw Isabey drowned in some deep thoughts. He felt it. She had been behaving a little strangely for a few days. She also has not visited the pack land for a few nights... Louis was happy that she was becoming normal. But she was not nor
Alpha Damien, Jackson, Edwina, and Reuben were sitting in the pack office. Reuben can see that Jackson was gritting his teeth. He hates him so much. He felt a fiery stare at him, but he didn't dare look into Jackson's eyes."Reuben, you have to tell us, all about this pack," Edwina said."Ahm..."
