Chapter 6 Reject You

"I decided to be your companion and accompany you to the banquet," Amelia said to Alexander cautiously.

Alexander grinned. The moonlight shone on Alexander's body, covering him with a thin layer of haze, making him even more outstanding.

"Okay, I will deliver the dress to you in advance. On that day, I will send someone to pick you up."

Amelia took a breath. This man is not like a werewolf, but a goblin in legend. She didn't even dare to look at it, for fear of being sucked out of her soul. So, she could only bow her head and nod in a panic. Then she quickly walked into the house.

Alexander smiled. After a while, he turned and walked away when he saw the lamp in her room light up again.

Soon, it was the day of the Pack Alliance banquet.

This was the first time Amelia had attended such a large and formal banquet. She was so nervous.

She took out the dress. It was brought over two days ago by Alexander's man.

She examined it carefully. No matter how many times she secretly tried it on, she still liked it like the first time she saw it.

It is a black mermaid dress that fits very well. The neckline of the skirt is V-shaped, and the sleeves are off-the-shoulder design. The exposed area is not large, but it embellishes Amelia's arms well. The dress is designed with a waist, which can perfectly outline her small waist. Besides, the thing that Amelia likes most about this dress is that dozens of small pearls are inlaid at the tail of the dress. As Amelia moves around, those small pearls seem to be alive and follow her fine and long legs dance.

Simple, but elegant.

Amelia admired it for a while. Seeing that it was getting late, she hurriedly started to make up for herself. By the time she's done all this and put the dress on her body, it's exactly the time Alexander said.

At this moment, a car horn sounded downstairs. Amelia hurried downstairs, ignoring her parents' shocked and confused expressions.

When she got to the car, she realized that Alexander came in person. He had said that the driver would pick her up.

"You said the driver will pick me up, didn't you?" Amelia asked with some doubts.

Alexander looked at Amelia. She was as beautiful as the popular movie star Anne Hathaway. He couldn't help but admire his good eyesight. Then, he blurted out the thoughts in his mind. "It was originally planned. Now I don't want others to be the first to see my companion's attractive looking, so I decided to pick you up in person."

Amelia was amused by Alexander's childish words. In this way, they left and went to the banquet scene.

An hour later, Alexander personally opened the right car door for Amelia. He stretched out his right hand and invited her out of the car. Everything was perfect.

However, Alexander suddenly grabbed Amelia's hand and put her arm into his own just before Amelia was about to enter the venue. It showed the appearance of Amelia holding Alexander.

Amelia smiled and didn't refuse. Under the interweaving of various lights, they appeared in front of everyone.

Immediately afterward, there was a sound of inhalation.

"My God, who is that woman standing beside Alpha Alexander? Is it his mate?"

"It should be... What should I do, I'm so envious...That's the most powerful Alpha in the Pack Alliance!"

"Hey, this woman looks a little familiar." The person from Jason's pack said.

"If I remember correctly, she should be Luna's sister in the future."

"You mean that poor girl?"

Amelia listened to everyone's discussion. She was from shyness at the beginning, to shock, to an inferiority complex.  She felt extremely complicated inside.

She didn't expect that Alexander would be the Alpha of the Storm Pack. As a werewolf, she has naturally heard of this pack. Not only because it is the most powerful of all packs at present, but also for another reason. She remembered that one of her childhood playmates came from this pack.

Thinking of the playmates and the old childish words, Amelia suddenly felt a little nostalgic. He was a very lively and lovely boy. But unfortunately, she never contacted him again. She didn't know how he is doing now. Maybe she could ask Alexander after the banquet.

Just as Amelia fell into her memories, there was another commotion in the venue.

Amelia hurriedly walked out of her memory and looked at the source of the commotion. It was Alpha Jason and Olivia.

Jason also saw Amelia at this point. Seeing her standing with Alexander with their arms still in each other's arms, anger burst out in his heart. When he walked past Amelia, he snorted heavily, as if he didn't want to see her very much.

Amelia's slightly improved mood suddenly disappeared in this cold hum and turned into a wry smile. This also led to the fact that at the following banquet, even if she looked at the food on the table, she had no appetite. She just ate a little fruit and stopped touching it.

Alpha Jason introduced the identity of Olivia Luna to everyone after the Alphas of each Pack finished their speeches at the venue. Then everyone gradually started to move freely.

Taking advantage of this gap, Amelia walked out of the hall when she saw Alexander was busy with official business. She took a walk in the park outside the hall. Moreover, she planned to say goodbye directly to Alexander when the time is almost up.

She couldn't stand it any longer.

She thought she could be strong enough to watch her mate stand with other women. But when he marked her sister Olivia in public, she felt like she was about to suffocate to death. She didn't want to let herself feel like a grudge all day long, so she decided that officially end the mate bond with Alpha Jason when the banquet was over.

"Amelia." A male voice came from behind Amelia.

Amelia guessed the man's identity almost instantly. It was Alpha Jason.

She turned around slowly. When she saw him, she asked with some forbearance.

"You've come at the right time, Alpha Jason."

Jason smiled sarcastically at her. "Right time?  Amelia, you expected me to be looking for you, didn't you? Why, because I rejected you, so you stayed with Alpha Alexander to get revenge on me, huh?"

Amelia shook her head in surprise when she heard this. "No, Alpha, we are just friends. He invited me to the banquet."

"Oh, you mean, Alexander took the initiative to chase you."

Amelia was helpless. "No, not like this."

"How is that?"

"Alpha, I don't think I need to explain so much to you since we have nothing, you are just my Alpha." After that, Amelia prepared to say what she just wanted to say.

But Jason didn't give her a chance.

At this moment, he suddenly grabbed Amelia's arm hard. His face was no longer calm, and his light green eyes turned dark green with anger.

"How dare you, Amelia!"

"Let me go, you hurt me!" Amelia began to struggle violently.

When Jason heard this, he let go of her arm and threw her aside. He forced Amelia into the tree behind him. It wasn't enough. Jason stepped forward again, stretched one arm on the tree, and half-circled Amelia. Then he moved slightly closer. "If you want to get my attention in this way, then I tell you. Yes, we are mates, but I reject you, Amelia."

"Do you hear that? I refuse you to be my mate."

Immediately afterward, Jason walked towards the venue again like a victorious rooster, leaving Amelia leaning against the tree and crying silently.

But what they didn't expect, Olivia saw all of this.
