Chapter 10: What a Nice Dinner

I need to breathe.

Looking straight at the Alpha’s eyes made me feel like an egg being tossed in the frying pan.

I can feel my soul drifting away. Every existence of me burning and changing into something. I can feel my flesh being slowly turned into a meal, my mind becoming yolky.

That’s what I feel when I stare at him.

And obviously, I was the first one to lower my gaze—one minute after that intense encounter.

I cringed. Yes, I still feel like an egg being fried—except my soul has now returned to the abyss of my being.

My eyes found the towel did nothing to hide the erecting masterpiece of his hand’s ministrations. It was beckoning me, waving in greeting as Alpha Cain stood and walked towards his chair.

Where the table hid his friend from plain sight.

From my sight.
