Anaya's POV

The game continued after the first half break. Cade hadn't said anything directly to me but I could feel that he was pissed at me for the way we played back then.

“Pigeon, remember the sequence, don't pass the ball to someone that far off when people are right in front of you. They'll get pissed, distracted and we'll lose the game. We are doing great so far, I'm proud of you!” Seth said to me as we walked back to the pitch.

The crowd had taken to chanting some words that were actually hilarious if you paid close enough attention. Not the kids from our academy and the kids from our opposing school, everything was quite chaotic and hilarious. But I couldn't afford to be distracted right now. We had a game to win.

And so it began.

I was soon swapped out to play defense and I was pumped for it. That is until I locked eyes with the witch from the night of the attack.

Everything else faded into the background as we stared at each other.
