A story from the past

 Nebraska felt the beta approach her, and she reflexively backed away, just barely, as her aching legs would allow. The silhouette was not as large as that of the alpha but more than that of any of his children.

Siran watched the woman laid guard on the ground. He had to admit that there were few wolves that faced him. His beta position hadn't come overnight and it wasn't solidified for fun. He knew their reaction to others and was scold by Hades for it.

He approached the omega and leaned around her with one arm and the other passed under her legs, carrying her. Nebraska stood still and stiff. Up close now, the dominant wolf scent was pervasive and did nothing to hide it, claiming her body to submit to him.

To her impression, the beta didn't say anything, didn't even look at her. With them in his arms, he turned and walked to a door that he kicked open.
