Damn alpha

The heat was stifling. Her throat ached when she swallowed from thirst, she couldn't remember the last time the precious liquid had passed through her. The shackles brushed the open skin of her wrists and ankles, shaking her entire body. The lashes in her stomach multiplied every second, taking her breath away. 

Her belly, which had grown in the last four months, holding her next puppy in it, was now losing thickness from a pool of blood under her legs. She did not care, maybe it was better that way, her body was so weak that ending a pregnancy would be impossible. If only everything disappeared

What had she done to deserve this?

He had tried to have her own children for years but in all his attempts it had been by choice, if the woman did not get pregnant, had an abortion in the first few months, or the baby was stillborn.

The pack doctor had told him that his essence was too strong and the wolf bellies weren't capable of sustaining it. Hades had long since given up hope of having his own offspring. Because of that, he appreciated the pack's cubs, even suggesting that they were his weakness. And his beta was one of them.

Minutes later, a man very similar to Hades made an appearance. He was tall, muscular, with a light complexion that contrasted with his thick hair so dark it turned bluish. The only difference between the two is that he wore it relatively short and combed back, while his older brother preferred it long, showing the natural waves that any woman would envy.

Despite being family, Leoxi maintained absolute respect for his twin.

Alan paced back and forth inside the room where they had been locked up two days ago. He knew that his father would not be interested in his disappearance. They used to go on walks around the herd grounds for up to a week. His father was only aware of Rodrigo, his older brother and first-born, if he disappeared as they had done, if it would be all crazy.

-That bastard, when is he going to let us go? -

-When you stop doing a threshing on the ground-

Alan growled at his brother who was lying on the canopy bed staring at the ceiling bored.

-Does it not bother you what may be happening out there? What if he uses us as hostages against our father? If one does not kill us, the other will-

Alan looked at Noa and flopped down on the bed, holding his head with his hands. He couldn't argue with him. His brother was younger but apparently his brain was bigger because he was able to see ghosts where no one else could. If he said they were going to be okay, there was a 95% certainty that they would.

-Do you think our mother has suffered a lot? - Noa sat up on her elbows at the hoarse voice full of concern

-You saw yourself in the condition she was in, not even the strongest wolf in the pack can hold out like this for so long-

-And if this alpha refuses to get mother out of there? -

-Well, we will have to think about plan B. At the moment we can only pray to the Great She-wolf to protect her and maintain her life, even if it is a little longer-
