Chapter Fourtyone

Kristy POV

I wake up to an empty bed. I reach for my phone on the nightstand and look at the time. 1 P.M. SHIT! It is already noon and I am still in bed. I rush out of bed to my closet and grab the first thing I see. A pair of purple leggings with a blue sweatshirt. doesn't really match but who cares. I rush downstairs and notice the Alpha house is completely empty. Axel is not in his office and not in the kitchen or living room. I put the kettle on to make some tea.

In the meantime, I try to mindlink Axel but he blocks me out. I walk up to the refrigerator to grab some milk when I notice a note stuck on the refrigerator. "I will be back before dark xx" I sigh, take the note off the refrigerator, and put it in the trash can. Is he for real? A note? What is he up to now? Why so suspicious 'Will be back before dark' What is that supposed to mean? Why not let me know where he went? How long has he been gone for?
