Valerie's POV

I had been in the room since yesterday after the doctor told me that I could not have children. As if all the horrible things that I had been through was not enough, this had to happen to me.

Was I wishing to have children with Alpha Niklaus? After my experience with Alpha Ronald, I didn't want to have anything to do with any man again. I didn't think of having children, and I didn't even think that I would want some again. But now, why was I feeling so crushed?

I got up and went to the fridge. There were different drinks there, both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, most of which I didn't recognize, but I knew that they were expensive. I was not an alcoholic person, but maybe this would help me feel good.

I grabbed one bottle and popped it open, before taking a big gulp from the bottle. It burned me, but I didn't mind. I took another instead.

My heart was clenching, like I could feel the pain physically. What did I do to deserve my cruel fate?

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   II-30: A mother's advice

Solana's POVI tried hard not to think of what Beta Gerald said to me, but it was honestly too difficult. Was he truly considering the possibility of me choosing him as my mate? After what he said about still loving Tania? Knowing that I had my own mate here? I honestly could not make sense of it.He ended up telling me that it was up to me, and he was only reporting what the elders suggested, but he seemed like he was in agreement with the suggestion.I told Marcel about it, and he got really pissed. He then told me that he didn't trust Gerald, and he advised me to relieve him of the post. I agreed to do it as soon as I find someone worthy of the post. After we were done with that, we went around the pack as we agreed earlier, and truly, it was needed. We took Lisa with us, as she knew more about the pack. A whole lot of development needed to be done in many areas, especially the residence of the Omegas. It was as if Ronald purposely abandoned them. They were even very surprised to s

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   II-29: Desire or loyalty

Solana's POVI tried not to let what Amelia said bother me. She truly did not matter in this case, I just got triggered. But I was concerned for Marcel. She was his mother. In the times we spent together back at the Crescent wolves pack, he opened up to me about her. I knew that he loved her and had always protected and defended her, and now he felt guilty for it. That was why I allowed her stay. It would put him at peace to at least see her often and know that she was okay. When he came back into the room, I threw myself on him, hugging him."Are you sure you are okay with her being here?" He asked me. He was just thinking about how her presence would affect me, and not him. He was always thinking of me first."I should be asking you that question. I am sorry that I made that decision, but I...""It's okay. There is no need to talk about it. She is here now, and I will keep an eye on her. If she tries anything against you, we will kick her out."I nodded my head, feeling a little gui

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   II-28: Mom

Marcel's POVSolana and I showered together, before changing our clothes and going down to the guest room where Lisa said my mother was. I truly felt forced, because I was not ready to see her. When we entered the room, she rose from her seat, her lips stretching into a smile."Oh, my first born." She squealed, coming to hug me.She had always called me that, especially in front of Klaus. And if I had been more attentive, I would had taken note of the meaning behind it.She was letting him know she didn't consider him as her child— as one of us— even though he was here before us. I felt that guilt hit me again."What are you doing here, mom?" The words rolled out of my tongue on their own, my voice cold.Mom flinched, stepping back. "What is wrong with you? Are you not supposed to hug me?"I closed my eyes as I let out a sigh. "Princess, this is my mother, Amelia." I said, turning to Solana for a brief moment, before I turned to mom again. "And mom, this is my mate, Solana. She is the

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   II-27: Mine, yours

Marcel's POVI grabbed Solana's jaw, kissing her hard, swallowing her moans and whimpers. She wrapped her hands around my neck, pulling me closer and deepening the kiss.I grabbed a fistful of her hair and tugged her head back, exposing the long line of her throat. Her lips were parted, her chest rising fast.I trailed those luscious lips with my thumb, and Solana stuck out her tongue, like she wanted to taste it."It is not my thumb I want in your mouth, princess."She dropped back onto her heels, her lips still parted as if she was waiting for me to just fuck her mouth. And that was exactly what I planned to do.I wrapped my hand around my cock, and I smiled as I watched her eyes follow my movement. She licked her lips, and I could scent her arousal strongly."Tongue out." I demanded, and Solana readily obeyed. She slipped out her tongue, eyes looking at me like some temptress sent to make me sin.I tapped the head of my cock against her tongue, watching as the precum smeared her to

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   II-26: Spells

Marcel's POVMy mother being here was trouble. I knew it. Since I drove her out of the Crescent wolves packhouse to the human territory, I had not seen or heard from her. I didn't call her and I never took her calls. I was not ready to face her.I felt guilty. After Klaus banished her away from our pack, and I heard him lash out at me for always supporting her, I felt so damn guilty because he was right. Not that I always supported her, but I never spoke up for him. I reasoned that he was Alpha, and he could take care of himself, and my mom could not get to him, but I was wrong.Klaus had been under mom's guidance even before I was born. We all grew up, witnessing the animosity between them, and how my mother would take any chance to put him down. But my brother was not an easy one to put down.Witnessing it daily, it became almost normal to us— almost. Klaus never backed down, so I thought there was no need to fight for him. I guess my other siblings thought so too.She let me know a

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   II-25: Alpha Anita

Solana's POVAlpha Anita went quiet for a while, as if she was in deep thoughts. Then she let out a sigh. "When my father died and I was to take his place, everyone objected. Even my own mate." She looked at me then, her expression unreadable."He knew that I was the Alpha heir and he chose to stay with me. But the moment my father passed, and the title became real, he couldn't handle it. He couldn't bear to see me so revered, respected. He felt so small, even though I did everything to let him know that I would never belittle him. I always stood by him, defended him, but he chose not to support me."My chest tightened as I felt pity for her, but she shook her head, as if telling that she didn't want pity."He suggested that I gave him the position and become his Luna, but I refused. I was already pregnant at that time and I thought that would make him stay, but he still left. I rejected him and he didn't hesitate to move on from me."I pressed my lips as together, not knowing what to
