Frederick's POV

"Where are you coming from, young man?" Valerie's voice startled me as soon as I entered the house. It was just a few minutes past 6 am and I didn't expect her to be up already. She was pacing around and bouncing her son who seemed to be a little restless.

I let out a sigh of relief, before giving her a sheepish smile. "You don't need to know everything, Luna."

Her gaze narrowed suspiciously. "I've got my eyes on you."

"I'm sure you don't. You have more important things that need your attention." I said with a wink, carrying Kam from her. "Why is he restless? And where is Klaus?"

She sighed tiredly. "I don't know what's wrong with Kam. He was agitated throughout the night, and Klaus attended to him so I could sleep. Now he is asleep, and don't want to wake him up."

"You know he will not mind, right?"

She rolled her eyes. "Of course, I know that. He would rather have me go back to bed and deny himself rest. That is why I had to come down here."
