Here's the second chapter🫶
Marcel's POV The moment we stepped out of the circle, the pack surrounded us, hugging and congratulating us. It was a struggle to move. Reuben had to organize his warriors to clear a path for us, as we went back into the pack house to change. The celebration would take place in the ceremonial hall, and the crowd was already being directed there. The second we stepped into the pack house, someone attacked me, jumping on me. Adeline. Klaus and Valerie arrived earlier, and they informed us that the rest of my siblings would be arriving too. "Hey kiddo, I know you love and miss me, but you are suffocating me right now." I said between laughs. I was certain she caught sight of me, and you decided to lay an ambush. She giggled. "Do I address you as Beta now?" She didn't wait for an answer before she shook her head. "Naah, you will have to drag me through red hot coals." I laughed as I set her down, before turning to my mate. I wrapped one hand around her waist and pulled her close. "I d
Solana's POV It was almost night. The whole pack house had been buzzing with activities and entertainment. We even had more guests than what we anticipated, and the whole thing was going so smoothly. At different points, I would think something was about to go wrong, but nothing did. It was just my paranoia. "It is time." Marcel said to me. We were inside the pack house, while everyone was gathered outside. I stood in the dressing room downstairs, looking at myself in the mirror. I was dressed in a white flowing dress with sleeves that flairs from my elbow to the bottom, low V neckline with black thread sewn intricately at the hems. Black and grey threads were also woven in various parts of the dress to form different symbolic designs— the moon, a crown, a girl, a wolf— all expertly entwined together to look simple but with a bit of sophistication. A thick fur coat with the same symbolic designs was draped over my shoulders. My blonde hair fell down my back in luscious waves, a cro
Solana's POV The day of the Alpha and Beta ceremony arrived finally. Marcel and I decided to do it together. Unlike the one we planned before, we didn't have guests sleep over at the pack house the night before. But some will be staying over tonight. Alpha Niklaus and Luna Valerie would be coming for sure, and they would be tagging their friends along— Alpha Killian, Alpha Andrew and Luna Nadine. I stepped out to the balcony, leaning on the railing as my eyes travelled and took everything in. Everybody was busy. Elites, Omegas, warriors, even Reuben and Lisa were there, barking orders. Mara and her set of women volunteered to cook again. They had harvested their own crops and generously offered it for our ceremony. But Marcel and I planned to pay them for it. They just didn't know yet. I let out a sigh when I felt his hand wrap around my waist and he pulled me close. He lowered his face to my neck and kissed my skin, his lips lingering. "A penny for your thoughts?" "I... I think
Solana's POV It had been a week after Grayson and his son abducted me, after they had tortured my mate and tried to forcefully mark me and steal what was mine. But now, they were the ones in the dungeon, while my mate and I were getting ready to ascend as the Alpha and Beta of the Blood moon pack. Alastor was better, but he would never be well again. It turned out that the blows I landed him with those cuffs around my hand, did more than just stopping him from marking me. It had shattered something inside of him, a part that governed his perception of the world— the occipital region. It affected his visuals, and now he saw things wrongly and processed everything slowly. At first the doctors believed that he would recover fully, given the proper care and medication. He was a werewolf after all. But I gave them a specific instruction to delay the healing process. No rapid regeneration. No enhanced treatment. Everything he would be getting would be just enough to keep him alive. I ha
Gerald's POV If loving Tania was a curse, I was under a spell. If loving Tania was a disease, I was ill. If loving Tania was madness, I was totally and infinitely insane. I had betrayed everyone, ruined my position as the Beta of my pack, put my family at risk, sinned against the goddess. All for her. Now she was here with me, but we were locked up in a cell together. The funny thing was that I didn't mind. As long as she was here, within close proximity, where I could smell her and feel her. But she had been on her own, quiet. No words, no hugs. I could not tell what was in her mind at all. She didn't seem excited to see me, but she didn't seem to mind my presence either. The only time she spoke up was when she defended me against Solana and Marcel, which surprised me. Tania was the most selfish person I knew. Why did I love her this much? That I could not explain. Perhaps it was some kind of punishment from the goddess for a sin I did not know. Maybe because I didn't stop Ronal
Marcel's POVSolana and I managed to drag ourselves out of the bedroom, as we headed to the cell where I was previously locked up. That was where Gerald was... With Tania. The marks on my body were already healed. Turned out sex with Solana was much more effective than whatever those doctors did. Or maybe it was the marking. Either way, I felt energetic and ecstatic.Until I entered the old training center building. I felt Solana's mood dwindle as well.I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her closer. She looked up at me and gave me an appreciative smile."Remember what I told you. If you want anyone dead, all you have to do is say the word. And if you do the killing yourself, I will help you hide the bodies."Solana let out a breath. "We just marked each other. Maybe we should postpone the killings for today."I smiled slightly. "As you wish, Alpha."The moment we got to the cell the Beta was locked up, we met him on his feet, like he was expecting us.As for the witch? Tan
