Amber’s pov

Even though both Axel and I were pissed at Elias, we had a party tomorrow. We needed to make sure Jade was really gone and would not try anything before Elias’ birthday celebration. Axel had given the guards at the prison a long speech, they should have paid better attention. It was ridiculous how easy Elias had freed Jade or Finley, whatever her name was.

I had focused all my attention on this party, trying not to freak out about losing my powers or the fact that Elias was still in danger. The sooner the party was over, the sooner the new phase in our life would begin. I shouldn't have hid myself in party plans. I might have noticed something was up with Elias.
