Chapter thirty
DAX'S POV
I was petrified, I didn't know where Aurora was and she needed me. I had been in a mood with her all morning just because she chose to mark me when she was in heat. I wanted her to want to make me and not just because of the heat getting her all crazy.
I had lived every minute of the heat with her. I was sore and even holding myself to go to the toilet was rather uncomfortable with how much I had been inside of her, I think I was rubbed raw, but now that I might lose her none of that was important and now I know how childish I had acted.
Me and Edon was so worried.
"Where is our mate?" Edon kept repeating over and over again in my head.
"I don't know, if you shut up for five minutes I might be able to find her." I say back to him.
He was now pissed off with me, but I couldn't worry about that right now finding Aurora was more important.her telling me field narrowed down the search a little, but we were surrounded by fields and wood

DAX'S POVI change into my wolf Edon and running as fast as I can everything I pass is just a blur. I need to get to these rouge's, finish them off and get back to Aurora. Through the pack link everyone is letting us know where the rouge's are and they are everywhere. I head to where the most seem to be, knowing that is where I could help the most and that my Dad would be there and that we work best as a team.I get there and I can't believe how many there are and in the middle is my Dad fighting off six rouge's at once. I don't hesitate I jump straight in tearing them apart. I slash them with my claws, tear them apart with my teeth. It was three days after the fight had finished. The funerals for all our fallen pack was done the day after the fight. The Alpha's funeral the day after that as it was not the same as the other funerals. It was so heartbreaking for all of the pack to have lost their Alpha. Many came over to Dax to offer their sympathies. I just held onto him not knowing how else to help him. I could feel his pain and knew there wasn't any thing I could do to take his pain away. After everything that went down at the meeting the other week. I couldn't be more happy, at least most have them have accepted me even though they know about my powers and that I'm part elf.However the feeling of how upset Dax is is making it hard to be happy about it and I have no idea how to help him.He has spent the last few weeks diving into his Alpha role that I have hardly seen him, except when he is passing out from all the hard work of the day. DAX'S POVI know I'm pushing myself too hard and pushing people away but right now I don't know how to stop doing it. I never wanted to feel the pain of what I felt after I lost my Mum, but somehow this is worse. Not that I loved my Dad more than my Mum just I lost my Alpha aswell as my Dad. He showed me how to ride a bike, how to fight and how to lead people and he did it all after loosing his mate. AURORA'S POVseeing Dax standing at the bottom of the stairs I didn't know what to expect from him, was he mad at me? I still wasn't sure if I was mad at him anymore or if I was just so happy to see him, being away from him for so long felt like a life time. DAX'S POVThings were just not adding up from the start of all of this.Shanaya escaping, Nelson knowing about Riggs and just loads of other little things. AURORA'S POVThis last week has been a lot better with Dax, I have seen him more, he has been working less and we are spending quality time together when we are with each other.I can feel his anger and his stress through our mate link, but he controls it and deals with it where before he wasn't.I found out through the chatter that there was an altercation with Nelson, Dax and Riggs.
