Violet's POV

If anyone had told me I'd cross paths with Alpha Ezekiel, I wouldn’t have believed it.

But it happened right before my eyes. I couldn’t refuse the Alpha who sent me here to attend the meeting on his behalf. As second in command of the pack, I had to obey every order he gave.

That face brought back memories...painful ones...of when he lowered his head and rejected me because his father reminded him of a promise. He chose to honor that promise instead of fighting for his fated mate. So why was he trying to talk things out with me now?
