Leia's POV

"Are you okay?" I asked Rovina. She shook her head.

"The healer told me that I can't contract the plague because my unborn child is somehow protecting me from the infection," Rovina explained. Her revelation clarified my doubt. I had initially suspected she might be aiding the dark force to infiltrate our Pack. But when I saw the woman chanting, her aura didn't match that of a pregnant woman. So it seems Rovina is not a suspect.

"Anyway, Rovina, I spoke with Xavier. He's agreed to release you to the Bluewood pack, your family. Your prison sentence has been waived." Rovina looked at me in surprise, her mouth agape.

"I am free to go home," Rovina said, tears welling in her eyes. "Thank you." She embraced me tightly, and I returned the hug, comforting her as she cried. "I have no words to express how grateful I am."

"You should thank Xavier for it. I merely vouched for you," I replied.

"I will thank Alpha Xavier," Rovina promised, wiping her tears. I then unlocked the bracelet
