Anna Parker was once the proud daughter of the Alpha of the Nightcrawlers pack—until the brutal Blue Valley pack invaded, killed her parents, and enslaved her people. For five long years, she has been a captive, forced to serve those who destroyed her world. When she discovers her mate is none other than Damon, the ruthless new Alpha of the Blue Valley pack, she is relieved when he rejects her. But Damon’s failure to produce an heir with his wife forces Anna into a dangerous role: becoming a surrogate under threat of her people’s lives. Pregnant with the child of her enemy, Anna plots her escape with the help of an unlikely ally—Damon’s mother. Fleeing to the Crescent pack, Anna finds an unexpected sanctuary and another twist of fate: she’s mated to their powerful Alpha, Rohan. Torn between the past and the future, and carrying twins who are the spitting image of Damon, Anna’s new life is plunged into chaos when Damon reappears to claim what he believes is his. When war threatens, Anna must confront the devastating forces that bind her to two Alphas—one who destroyed her family and one who holds the key to her heart. As loyalties are tested and packs collide, Anna faces her ultimate battle: to protect her children, rescue her people, and reclaim the freedom stolen from her. The stakes are deadly, the passion fierce, and Anna will stop at nothing to bring down the pack that shattered her world. But will she survive the fight to become the Luna she was always destined to be?

Today was the day I turned eighteen. It was exciting. Why? Because now I finally had the chance to be with my mate. I was told that once you turned eighteen, your mate would finally find you. I didn’t know if it was real or a blatant lie, but I was excited. Well, that was until he showed up. “What are you doing standing around?” He asked. “Get back to work!” It was Damon Smith, the Alpha of the Blue Valley pack, and also one of the most ruthless men I have ever encountered. Being slaves to the pack was the worst part of my life, but I’ve always found a way to make things work. I’ve always tried to stay happy, and luckily I had my best friend, Stella who was always there for me. “S—So sorry, Alpha,” I stuttered, grabbing the cloth from the rack. He had his brows furrowed as he stared at me. I could tell his eyes were pasted on me as I cleaned the water from the table. Damon was also one of the most gorgeous men I’ve come across. Being a slave made my opportunities slim, so I hadn’t been able to see a lot of men. But I could tell that there wouldn’t be much out there that was more sexy than the man standing before me now. He had short jet-black hair which glittered in the morning sun that washed into the living room. His lemon eyes usually made my knees weak whenever I stared at him. To me, he was a walking piece of art. His well-chiseled jaw and pale skin made him look ultimately beautiful. I gulped hard as I wiped the table with the cloth. I could feel the cloth grow damp as I mopped the water. A chill went down my spine as I felt the cold from the cloth. I could still feel him staring at me. This was the longest we have ever been together. It was awkward that I had him watching me. When I was done, I turned around and found him still staring at me, his lemon eyes piercing through my soul. I could feel my knees about to buckle. His biceps were busting out of his black shirt as he folded his arms. They looked like they could cut diamonds. Fuck. Fuck. “What are you staring at?” He asked. I blinked twice when I heard that. My eyes searched the room as I thought of an answer to give him. Was he going to punish me like the rest of my pack? Was he going to send me to the dungeon? It would ruin my day, and I didn’t want to imagine that. I was saved by the sound of footsteps coming from the stairs. A woman came down and I recognized her immediately. She had long black hair and a pair of brown eyes. She looked to be in her early forties. I knew her too well. She was Noami, Damon’s mother. “Now what is going on here?” She asked. Damon didn’t answer her. He was still glaring at me and I could feel my heart thumping hard against my chest. What did he have in his mind? His brows furrowed slightly, creating a thin-like impression across his smooth forehead. His pink lips pressed together to form a thin line, making him look stern and beautiful. I felt like we were having a moment, and then, I heard Noami sigh. It broke the silence and snapped me back to reality. “Caught her some slack, Damon. Today is her birthday,” she said. My eyes widened expressing my shock. Did she know my birthday? How was that possible? My eyes went to her and her brown eyes were glittering as she smiled at me. “You are turning eighteen, right?” She asked. I gulped hard and nodded in response. She flashed me another smile. “She’s come of age.” Damon’s brows were now furrowed even further and it created another thin line above the previous one on his forehead. He was staring at me, and it looked like he was going to eat me up any moment. My thighs shivered at the thought. “Happy birthday,” he said, his voice deep but smooth, creating a low hum that resonated in my soul. And then, I felt it. It came in a flash. The connection. I felt like he was pulling me towards him. I could feel the force of attraction tugging me towards him. I wanted him. Those lips, those stern lemon eyes, and his lovely pale skin. I wanted them all to myself. I shook my head snapping out of it. “You shouldn’t have interrupted, mother,” Damon said, turning to face Noami. That was the first time he had looked at her since she came into the room. Noami chuckled softly. I could barely hear her. “I couldn’t help it. I’m plus, I was just on my way out when I caught you two,” she said. Her last sentence sounded weird. It seemed she was trying to pair us. That would never work. Damon wouldn’t look at a slave like me twice. I was nothing more than that in his eyes. And it was perfectly fine to me until a few moments ago. The feeling was getting deeper and stronger. I could feel his warmth around me. It was soothing and comfortable. I wanted to lay up in his arms. Those strong biceps hold me tenderly as I fall asleep. Was I daydreaming? “Mom. Quit it,” he said. His eyes came back to me, the sunlight illuminating them, and making them look like glass. They looked so fragile but gorgeous. My thighs trembled again. “Get back to work,” he said calmly before turning around. He walked away with Noami, and I watched them head towards the door. I could hear voices around me whispering, but I couldn’t decipher their words. They were getting louder by the second, and I could feel the force of attraction pulling me towards Damon even though he was far away. And then, he paused by the door and turned to stare at me. My heart squeezed in my chest as our eyes met. And then, the whispers became more vivid. I could finally decipher the words, and the first one came as a shock. “Mate.”Anna“What were you doing, child?” Naomi asked, perplexed. The tears were running down my cheeks as I lay on the floor. A wave of sadness hit me as the cold from the wooden floor bit my skin. I had done something horrific and to think that I would have gone through with it if Naomi hadn’t stepped in. Stella hasn’t been home since we got separated at the market. Maybe she was searching the whole pack for me. And that had made me almost do the unthinkable. I was embarrassed as Naomi stood over me in silence. “Come on now,” she said, picking me up from the floor. But I didn’t want to move. I laid on the tiled floor and thought about what I had tried to do. My rage had taken control of me and I almost killed my baby. “No,” I begged. “Just let me die.”“Don’t say such a thing, Anna,” Naomi said. “Tell me, what happened?”I didn’t want to remember, but her words triggered the memories of my confrontation with Damon. His words were like fresh wounds. I was scarred for life. He saw me a
Anna“What are you doing here?” He demanded, folding his arms. His biceps bulged against the sleeve of his black shirt, threatening to snap through the fabric. His green eyes were on me, stern and glittering in the sun. His black hair was ruffled like he had just woken up from sleep. I bet he had. “You promised me. We had a deal!” I barked through my clenched teeth. My heart was thumping hard against my chest. Right now, I hated him, but his masculine features were hard to ignore. I didn’t know if he was doing it on purpose, but it was working. I couldn’t focus. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, playing dumb. “Why don’t I go in and tell Sophie there what’s going on?” I threatened. “That should make things interesting.”His calm demeanor faltered as his brows furrowed, the expression of rage etched on his face. “You wouldn’t dare!” He growled. His aura became suffocating and my lungs felt like they were being tied in a knot. My knees buckled threatening to fail
AnnaA month later. Stella was right. This was a mistake. I shouldn’t have gone through with it. But I had thought my obligation to my pack had made me stronger to go on. But now, I felt nothing but guilt. I stared at the mirror, the little bump on my stomach on display. I couldn’t say anything to anybody. Damon had instructed me to keep it silent between us until it was time to break the news. My guess was that Sophie didn’t know about the baby yet. Using my baby to blackmail him would make me a monster. And also, I couldn’t let such a monster father my child. No. That night had me in fantasy land. I had enjoyed my time with Damon. But he had changed after that night. He had gone back to ignoring me. He never came once to check up on me or the child. Well, I had chosen to be his surrogate. Why should he care about me? I had been stupid, and now I felt nothing but regret. I placed my hand on the little bump as my eyes fell on it. My child. What was I going to do? Damon was goin
AnnaThe cave was dark, cold, and silent except for our echoing footsteps. But as we walked deeper into it, I could see flickering lights in the distance. Suddenly, the air shifted around us. The bland smell of the cave was quickly replaced by the scent of lavender and roses. I was surprised by this. As we arrived at the source of the light, I was left speechless. The little section in the cave was decorated beautifully with many candles which covered every corner in the section. In the middle of the room was a bed of roses with a mat situated at the center. The smell of lavender was stronger than before and it filled my nose. It was beautiful. I never thought that Damon could be so thoughtful. But there was one question that struck my mind. “Why?” I asked as I looked up at him. His eyes met mine, the lemon balls shining in the candlelights. “I thought you’d like it,” he replied. “I….Ugh, wanted to make you feel comfortable.”I was baffled by this. Whoever kidnapped Damon was
Anna“Are you crazy?” Stella asked after closing the door behind her. She had been watching Damon until he got out of ears’ reach. I was guessing she had listened to our conversation. Seeing Damon here was one thing, and another was him asking me to be a surrogate. But it was too good a deal to let go. My people would be free. After years of being slaves to the Blue Valley pack, they had the chance to be welcomed as pack members. As the daughter of the Alpha, it was my job to ensure that this became a reality. And I was ready to do anything to see that come into fruition. “Keep your voice down, Stella. He might still hear us,” I said calmly. Stella ran her fingers through his hair in frustration. She was pacing the room, the wooden floor creaking beneath her feet with each step she took. Damon’s last words echoed in my ears now. “Meet me at my secret cave tomorrow night.” We were going to mate there. There was no doubt about it. The thought of having Damon above me—his tall, do
DamonIt was two years. Two years of being married to Sophie. And we had one major problem; she couldn’t bear me a child. I couldn’t blame her. It wasn’t her fault. It was the reality I had run from long ago. It was haunting me now. Mother had been right. There were consequences for rejecting my mate, and this was one of them. Sophie couldn’t get me a son. And without that, I wouldn’t have an heir. I would be an abomination. I would destroy my father’s legacy and wouldn’t leave one. It was embarrassing. I was sitting on the porch watching the sunset. I knew where it had gone wrong. It was all my fault. There was nobody I could blame. I felt useless for dragging Sophie into this. We were supposed to be happy together. But it was the complete opposite. I sipped the scotch in my hand and sighed. The front door creaked open behind me and a figure stepped out. I could tell who it was without turning around. “I never thought I would see you this way, Damon,” my father said. I scoffed a
