Chapter Eleven

Alpha Gabriel POV

I reached for my phone that was beside me on the couch and dialed a number, it was one of my shadow guards.

He answered on the first ring. "I need you to keep a close watch on Arnold", I commanded,my voice firm. " Monitor his every move." With those words, I ended the call.

Arnold is my late father's elder brother. He has always harbored a deep grudge against my father for being chosen as the Alpha. His grudge further extended to me when I became the Alpha, he wanted his son to become the Alpha.

"Isn't that your uncle?", Asher asked, raising an eyebrow as surprise flickered across his face.

"Yes", I replied. "I don't trust him one bit, you know how cunning he can be. I need to be a step ahead of him."

He nodded in agreement and focused his attention back on his phone. I rose from the couch and made my way back to my desk, resuming sorting the relevant files and responding to emails.
