Chapter 4

Altair felt the voice coming from the knights training and turned his head. Altair, who was looking at the flag with the Duke Onder de family crest fluttering above the tall fortress, looked the same as the one he had seen earlier in the bathroom.

On top of the fort there is a guard post guarded by several people, complete with armor and weapons they carry such as swords, as well as bows and spears.

Mary and Altair tried not to hear the screams and started walking back away from them, then the sound came from there again.

“At least the status of an illegitimate child fits perfectly with a servant.” said someone with a large body and a bald head, it looked like he was the commander of the troops there.

People started laughing out loud hearing their commander speak like that.

"To think that taste will indeed follow the line of descent," said another.

Altair walked over to them. I don't know what instincts made him suddenly angry and wanted to invite them to a duel. Is it because of the hatred of men or because the owner of this body doesn't accept being insulted, walking confidently that he can beat them all.

Altair took a real iron sword instead of a wooden sword that is usually used to practice swordsmanship, Altair randomly took the one lying on the table.

There are also several other weapons such as arrows, bows, shields, armor and much more. Mary, who didn't move from where she was standing, just looked at Altair from afar.

Hope his cousin doesn't experience anything terrible.

"Male men get things done with a sword, not with an argument." said Altair turning his body to look at the troop commander.

Another reason Altair invites people in front of him to a duel, because Claretta wants to see how the male body reacts in getting things done in an emotional state.

Taking advantage of a disgusting male body, however, there was a sudden feeling of pity in his mind. An even more heartbreaking feeling was that Altair had never once met the mother who gave birth to him. Claretta felt sorry for Altair's figure.

In the novel Altair is a character who is known to like to play with many beautiful women, both from the nobility and ordinary people in the Kingdom of Rhodes.

Surprisingly all the women he slept with did not have a single case protesting or prosecuting him until Claretta found out the reason had been discovered this morning.

“Someone who is only a burden and fortunate to be born into a respectable family invites the commander of the mage knight army to a duel, whereas they will not even care about his death.” said the commander, stretching out his arms as if everyone present was listening to every word.

"Alright, let's get started," he added confidently.

The commander walked over to the table where Altair took the sword. Walking haughtily and twirling the sword as if it were just a child's toy.

Altair was standing ready.

The sun was hot, making the two people who were in the middle of the field to duel begin to remember.

People who didn't participate in the fight looked for a place to take shelter and watch the game progress.

"The rule is that whoever hits the opponent first and gets hurt is the winner," said the commander.

Altair answered with a smile on his lips.

They ran towards each other to attack, Altair aimed at the right side of the opponent's temple, starting to swing the sword in his hand; the attacks from Altair could be read and avoided easily. His experience as an army commander made him not easy to defeat.

The troop commander also underestimated Altair's weak and powerless strength. The young Altair had never used a sword to fight and was currently dueling the knight commander.

The commander also tried to attack him by blindly attacking Altair's chest. Altair also dodged the commander's sword attack with ease and jumped behind the commander's back.

The sound of the sword scraping loudly made the knights cheer even more ; several servants stopped doing their duty to watch the match.

During the fight Altair only tried to dodge, keep his distance and pay attention to every movement of the opponent's attack.

“Kid! If you just want to run then run and I'll gladly slash your leg so you can't come here again so easily.” shouted the troop commander.

Altair tried not to be taken in by his opponent's provocation. Altair felt his body heat up, his breath began to pant. Is it because of the scorching sun?

"What's wrong with my body? It feels hot not because of the sun," said Altair, who was still trying to attack the troop commander.

Altair started to get a little overwhelmed while the troop commander was very excited about the duel because from the match his face showed a smile wanting to slash Altair's body. The rapid movement of his feet made dust fly behind his body.

Altair tried to strike back at his opponent and once again Altair's movements could be easily read by their opponent running from one side to the other.

Altair's attacks are only focused on attacking vital parts such as the neck, head or stomach.

Seeing Altair's attack movement aiming at the vitals the troop commander also tried to dodge and the troop commander enjoyed the duel between them.

They stopped sighing, their distance was only about one swing of the sword, staring as if they didn't want anyone to budge since neither of them had been hurt yet.

The people who saw the match watched very closely, accompanied by endless screams. Duke Leon watched those who were fighting in the field from where the magic tower was.

After a few minutes they stopped to breathe Altair and his opponent started running for another attack when their swords crossed in the air making a scraping sound of iron.

SRIING...

SRIING...

Small sparks also came out of their two swords. Altair pressed hard and pushed him forward with all his might.

Altair jumped back, after the jump Altair ran back to the opponent quickly, unfortunately Altair's foot slipped on a small stone the pain in the leg made Altair finally fall because it was unbalanced.

The commander who saw the opportunity quickly approached Altair and targeted his opponent's leg who was trying to stand up. Altair, who was trying to stand with his sword rebuttal in his left hand, saw the approaching commander's attack.

Mary who was watching from a distance was surprised to hold her breath making her cover her mouth with both hands.

The men in the squad shouted louder as if they were enjoying the duel battle unfolding in front of them. Altair saw that his leg was really about to be slashed. It's over.

PAN!!

A magic protective circle surrounded Altair who was bowing down trying to stand up. The sword that attempted to redeem the protective magic circle repeatedly slashed with great force.

Time and again the commander's sword couldn't slash and bounced even to penetrate the magic circle of the shield in front of him. The magic circle surrounding Altair had a thin rainbow of colors protecting Altair.

Everyone was shocked and asked where the shield came from. Altair smiled. He knew that from the age of 10, the potential successor to the 5 Mana sealers had to have the basic power handed down by their grandfathers.

Mana power could only be used to protect them from attacks by humans, as well as magical creatures and monsters.

The commander took a fairly safe distance after seeing the magic circle in front of him.

Knowing that, he also released Mana to coat his entire sword with red Mana like smoldering smoke.

Look at the commander's gaze with a grin of pleasure.

The attack restarted, Altair who had stood up again attacked the troop commander.

The Mana sword that the commander used to pierce the shield made the protective magic circle undulate unstable.

The swinging sword attack becomes more powerful and faster than before.

Mana's sword swing this time, focused on slashing Altair's neck. Altair who saw this began to try to run away to avoid it.

Jumping and dodging the attack quickly, the commander was about to attack Altair from behind who almost lost concentration, Altair turned to parry the sword with both hands.

The commander who had suddenly disappeared from sight, pointed the sword above Altair's neck.

The tip of the sword hit Altair's neck and slashed with blood, the sword that was in the commander's grip instantly stopped immobile.

The magic circle stopped the movement of the sword and suppressed the commander's Mana power and finally cut the iron sword stuck between the gaps until it broke.

Seeing that his sword could no longer be moved, the commander finally let go of the sword in his hand.

The sound of a sword falling was heard, the people around fell silent without a sound.

Mary couldn't help but hold her breath, tears starting to flow down her hands.
