Chapter 40
Damian woke up early. He had a planned date with Amelia today. He looks to his side and smiled at the sight of Amelia peacefully sleeping. He sighs lovingly before giving her a kiss on her cheek.
Amelia woke up after feeling the empty space beside her. She rubs her eyes as she slowly sat up. Even sitting was now harder for her as her stomach continues growing.
Damian peeks from the bathroom with a towel in his hand. He walks over to his fiance who had just woken up and gives her a kiss on her forehead before placing a kiss on her stomach. Amelia laughs merrily after she felt the baby kick.
"The baby's very energetic today," Damian said with a chuckle.
Amelia nodded. She slowly stood up with the help of Damian whose arms were wrapped around her. "Thank you," Amelia said as she rests her hand on her stomach.
The two ate and got in the car. "Where are we going?" Amelia asked as she completely had no idea about Damian's plans.

Amelia and Damian had both left the store. They went to a bunch of boutiques and bought clothes and accessories for Amelia. Damian and Amelia had both left the park and was now walking towards their car with their hands intertwined together. Just when he was about to open the door, a man pulled Amelia away from him and was about to pull a pocketknife but Damian swiftly kicked the man on his stomach that made him drop to his knees.The undercover guards immediately acted fast and ran towards them to keep the unknown man from escaping. Amelia was in shock and took a few seconds before she was able to process what happened. She looks at Damian with a confused gaze. Damian ended the call and places the phone on top of his desk. He looks at Alfred who was hanging Damian's coat on his closet."Alfred, from now on, I want Iago to follow Amelia wherever she goes inside the mansion" Damian ordered with a firm tone."As you wish, sire" Alfred answered. He also felt incredibly worried about his young madam. After Amelia had been attacked, the whole mansion was in chaos and the servants were all very worried for her."And also" Damian added. Mr. Grey stood in his office inside Damian's corporation. He looks down at the city outside his window. His office was located just beneath Damian's which irritated him.He turns away from the window and pressed a button on his desk. A few seconds later, his secretary came in."Yes, Mr. Grey?"
