Aria’s POV

My ears were ringing and my head pounded as I stared at my caretaker. The one I had killed, sitting on the couch. Still dead.

“Aria, let’s get out of here.” Ethan grabbed my arm and started to pull me out of the house.

“Wait, we can’t just leave her here.” I tried to pull away from him, but he was too strong for me to.

“Aria, you just screamed, someone is going to call the cop, we can’t be here.” He informed me.

“Shit. They’re going to come looking for me.” I told him.

He gave me a grin that seemed out of place for the circumstances, “you just compel them. I’ll teach you how. We’ll send them on a wild chase and make sure you’re not a suspect.”

“You mean to say it’s as easy as that?” I questioned.

“Yes, now come on, we still don’t want anyone to see us here and asking questions. The more witnesses the harder it is to control the narrative.” He told me as he pulled me out of the house and dragged me to the car.
