25. Emotions

Reagan.

"What did you discuss with Amora?"

I asked Carly, who resurfaced two days after the incident with Amora.

She asked Carly to come and see her. I wondered what they had talked about. I hope that she didn't go trash-talking some nonsense to her.

"Her usual questions, what else will she ask?"

She said in a casual tone like it was normal. "What questions did she ask? When I ask something, I need an answer."

I watched her from the bed as she narrowed her eyes at me.

"The same question she asked us, the morning she met me at your place."

"What have you two been doing behind my back? Was what she asked me."

I didn't know she would be concerned about all that, not after shutting me out.

"Okay. It's almost bedtime and I need to get some sleep."

I turned to go back inside the house. However, I stopped when I heard her call me. I look at her with raised brows.
