Elara

Hours after kissing Jayden, the overwhelming mixture of ecstasy and peace had carried me back to the castle and, finally, to the safety of my bed. The feel of his arms, the echo of his voice, the warmth of his kiss... everything had swept me away in a wave of emotions that had left me breathless.

I fell asleep, curled up in my bed, with the tranquility of his presence still within me, but the peace did not last long.

A sharp coldness enveloped me in my dreams.

The nightmare began as a cold mist, a sensation that made me shiver.

I was no longer in my room but in a deserted cemetery, surrounded by tombs and symbols that rose like ghosts in the darkness. The air was heavy, filled with the smell of earth and death.

I couldn't help but let fear take hold of me.

A voice called out to me.

A voice I recognized instantly, a voice I hadn't heard in a long time.

I turned around and saw her.

Zoe, my best friend, was standing in the middle of a clearing. Her face was a mask of pain, and her

ElaraNira's euphoria at finally awakening was fleeting. The warmth that had filled my body, the pure joy of feeling my she-wolf, abruptly transformed into unbearable agony. A heart-wrenching scream escaped my throat, a raw, animalistic sound I didn't recognize. The pain was a wave of fire that consumed me.I felt my bones shatter and my skin tear, as if thousands of knives were twisting inside me. It was the pain of the shift, but ten times worse.Brayden, terrified, held me as I writhed on the ground at the top of the mountain. His eyes, filled with panic, searched for an answer. My body convulsed, my muscles tensed to the point of breaking, and my vision blurred. The pain was so intense that I lost all sense of reality. My ears rang, my mind was a fog of agony, and all I could do was scream.“Dad!” Brayden shouted, his voice breaking. “I need help! Something's wrong!”His call echoed in the air, desperate, and the pain intensified.I felt my body twist, my soul tear. The shift, whi

  • An Affair With The Triplets   Chapter 42

ElaraThe wave of golden energy that had emanated from me had dissipated, but the commotion it had caused in the training center was palpable. I felt like a cornered animal with all eyes on me.Most people's eyes were a mixture of fear and awe.The triplets approached me with concern, but there was a hint of pride in their eyes that shook me. Aiden and Brayden took me by the shoulders, and Jayden finally helped me up and guided me to the exit.I didn't protest to any of them. The reality was that I wanted to run, but my body wouldn't respond.I felt as if my legs were about to give way, and I let myself be led like a puppet without a will of my own.I didn't notice anything; I ignored the people and the world. I only know that we arrived at the principal's office because I recognized a familiar place. I felt strange, very strange, and I didn't understand exactly why, although I could figure out what it was because of.Once I sat down, I took a deep breath.Something inside me ignited.

ElaraThe morning sun filtered through the dressing room windows, filling the air with a warm, golden light that I liked. I put on my training uniform, made of comfortable, flexible fabric, and an involuntary smile appeared on my lips out of nowhere.Aiden's kiss the night before had been a balm for my soul, a caress that had dispelled my fears and given me a peace I hadn't felt in a long time. My heart felt light, and a strange happiness came over me that I couldn't explain.Louis walked into the dressing room with a backpack slung over her shoulder, looked at me, and frowned.“Why are you so cheerful?” She asked in a teasing tone that made me smile. “I've never seen you like this before. Did something happen last night?”Her genuine question made my cheeks flush, but I refused to let my friend notice.“Nothing happened,” I said in a firmer tone than I expected. “I'm just happy.”Louisa looked at me with a look of disbelief, but she didn't say anything, just shrugged, and after she g

  • An Affair With The Triplets   Chapter 39

ElaraThe days had passed in a kind of fog.The conversation with Brayden on the terrace had brought momentary peace, but the weight of the revelations still overwhelmed me. That day I had fallen asleep looking at the stars in the company of my three mates, and the tranquility I felt with their silent presence had been the best sleep I had had in a long time.Somehow that released my tension. The next day, we went to the academy calmly and laughed at something we saw on the way, but then we each went our separate ways. So at noon, I sat with Louisa in the dining room, trying to keep a low profile. The rumor of the incident in the forest had not reached the academy, and I was grateful for that. I was focused on my food while Louisa told me about her weekend when the principal's secretary's voice echoed over the loudspeakers.“Miss Elara Mikaelson, please report to the principal's office.”A chill ran down my spine at the fact that I had been called by my father's last name. Legally, I

  • An Affair With The Triplets   Chapter 38

ElaraSunday felt like an oasis in the middle of a storm.Luna Kate, with a wisdom that surprised me, had taken it upon herself to keep everyone away, even the triplets, giving me space to process the overwhelming cascade of events I had experienced that weekend. The afternoon had been a blur of tranquility, a silence that allowed me to organize my thoughts but not my heart. My emotions were in chaos, and I felt like I was about to explode. The sun had set, and the northern night sky was a spectacle of bright stars. The air was cool, and I was drawn to the peace outside. I put on a wool sweater and went out onto the castle terrace. The lights of the pack in the distance were a flickering of life that contrasted with the anxiety in my soul.I looked at the stars, trying to find a pattern, a meaning in the universe, but I only saw chaos everywhere and felt overwhelmed. It was the soft sound of footsteps that anchored me to reality. My body tensed instantly, but I turned with composure a
