“Out !” I croak, “Now ! Both of you.”

They turn to face me, clearly having forgotten that the object of their discussion is still in the room.

“Fucking excuse me, what ?” Fire moon says.

Cana huffs, ‘Language Young lady.’

“I would like a few moments alone,” I manage to croak out, then add, “Uhm sir … beta … my lady … whatever.”

“Call me Fire,” She replies, “All of my friends do.”

I shoot her a wry look, plainly covering that our odd situation hardly qualifies as friendship.

“And he is Cerberus or Typhon, whichever you prefer,” She adds, “I am assuming the two of you are on a first name basis or should be by now.”

I shrug, “He never really introduced himself.”

“Shame on you, Cerberus," Fire Moon says, “Such manners.”

My wolf lets out a laughing bark, ‘I like her, she got spunk.’

“I'm going to forget you said that,” Typhon growls, “Because if I don't, I will have to kill you.”

I chuckle despite myself. Say what you will about the perplexing man who is keeping me ho
