"Eric and Vera will escort Zinnia to the nesting grounds. There, you will find a safe spot to stay for the time being. This will have to happen tonight." The latter William said in a hushed tone.

Even though I really didn't want to do this, it was impossible to say so. My grandmother would be very disappointed if she found out. I could see the need in Williams' entire being to be off to avenge his mate. I was trapped in a dungeon for two years, and I needed some time to sort myself out before I returned home.

"Very well." I gave in.

"Vera?" William asked.

She shook her head a few times, like she wanted to say no, but instead, her mouth said; "I will get her ready." There were tears swimming in her emerald eyes, but she got up and swallowed them down loudly.

Her firey red hair wipped around as she turned and left the room, slamming the door slightly. It was another indication that she was not happy about this arrangement either.

I realised I was staring when I saw both men's g

"Zinnia, you and Vera will fly." That made me remember that she had wings now. They were white before, but now they were black.A shit load of questions popped into my head, but I couldn't ask them as William continued. "Eric will follow on the ground. Eric, I have arranged.... Here are the details." He handed me a piece of paper. I scanned it quickly. Basically, I will be taking myself over in a house boat. I saw his plan in this, and I understood why he didn't want to talk out loud. There were eyes and ears everywhere. I gave the piece of paper back to William so that he could destroy it. "Very well." I knodded. Vera came around the house in her dragon form. My breath hitched in my throat. She was breath takingly beautiful. Her emerald eyes were brilliant against her red scales. "Goodbye and thank you for everything... William, good luck and be safe, please." I heard Zinnia greet the two men, and that pulled me out of my silent admiration. I turned to greet as well w

Broken, that is what I felt. The sight in front of me was unbelievable, but I could feel my heart shattering. For a brief moment, I wished that it was my heart Victorianna's sword pierced and not Enrickio's heart. On the other hand, I wished it was I piercing Enrickios' heart with my sword out of my own free will. The sight of Zinnia cradling Enrickio, tears streaming down her face. Her white wings turned black and covered his body, protecting him... The sight was too much and I wanted to flee but I couldn't. I was stuck staring at the girl I thought I loved, in her arms, cradled lovingly the dead body of my evil half-brother, the asshole who helped kill my mom. She screamed something at Victorianna, but Victorianna didn't answer her frantic cry. She also didn't attack as planned. Something happened that she didn't calculate. Most of her following saw through her smoke and mirrors. They saw the truth. Victorianna turned and fled, followed by her followers, which was con

โ€œHey Girl!โ€ I heard Bandajoz voice as he came bursting into the kitchen. I smiled at him, but the smile did not reach my eyes. He was so funny and adorable, I just wanted to eat him up. He made me feel a bit better. During my stay here, he came to visit me often. He even had his own room. He helped me during this time, and I would not have been able to get through this time, sane, if it was not for Ma and Bandajoz. I grew rather fond of him. โ€œHey babe!โ€ I greeted him with a kiss. โ€œIs something wrong?โ€ He furrowed his brows in confusion. โ€œNo.โ€ โ€œHey donโ€™t look so down honey, youโ€™re going home.โ€ He clasped his hands together in excitement. โ€œI know, but can I ask you a huge favor, please?โ€ โ€œOf course, darling.โ€ He touched my shoulder. โ€œI thought about it, long and hard. Can you please ask Ma to come here?โ€ โ€œIโ€™m on it.โ€ He jumped and saluted like a good soldier. I went to Rowan and Raeโ€™s room and collected their bags; they were still both asleep. I placed the bags in the livi

She is going to kill me! What have I done? The thaughts haunted me the entire way home."She must understand. She just has to. I really hope she does..." I whispered to myself. I knew that I shouldn't have left the house today. With the mood I was in, it was a disaster waiting to happen. I was irretated, agitated, and very homesick. My horrible mood mixed with hating going to the shops was a really bad choice. She got what she asked for, though. I tried to reason with myself. It was my day to do the grocery shopping. I was standing in the que after doing the shopping when a cow came up to me and started accusing me of things she wasn't even supposed to know in the human world. I tried to ignore the pathetic human woman, but she just continued spouting shit. She shouted how our kind should not be allowed to exist and that we were demons from hell. My patience was being tested to the extreme. I was already tense and trying to finish up quickly as I knew the twins

"It is over." I said, looking at William for confirmation. The taught hit me once more, how completely inadequate I was to lead these people. He knodded. "No!" Victorianna made herself heard again."Victorianna, this is bullshit. This war isn't necessary. Obviously, I am the chosen one whether either one of us likes it or not.""I don't accept it!" She ordered. "I don't give a...." I stopped myself. I didn't like it either, but one thing I knew for sure was that I would do a better job than her.Marcov looked at me and then Victorianna. "We will have to continue then..." Marcov interrupted. I shot glance at him that made him cringe, but he just shrugged it off."As per the rules. If there are suspicions of trickery or deception, an investigation can be requested. If there is a party that is not satisfied with the chosen one, a challenge to a dual can be issued."He looked at us both. Then rolled his eyes dramatically. "Obviously, the latter has been chosen. So we will p

It was a circle of enemies facing each other. The sad part was that it was not only enemies but neighbors, friends, and even families facing each other. Everyone thinking their on the right side, even a few that were unsure. The hesitation clear in their eyes. On the other side, there were even those who you could see didn't want to be there. They were just too scared to leave. Then there were those who were hungry for blood, hatred coursing through their entire being. Waiting for chaos to break loose. Lusting for the kill. The slaughter. It was interesting how you could notice the different species by their armor. The vampires only conceal the most intimate parts with leathery armor. The elves covered in the most beautiful robes, with patterns of vines and symbols covering them. The shifters were wearing armor specifically to be discarded easily when required to shift. On most, there were a symbol of their pack or herd on their chest. Others didn't have them. Then th

I awoke to a powerful wave of excitement. Eventhough I knew I shouldnโ€™t be excited because the end result of this battle may be completely devastating, ruining hundreds of people and creatures life's but it could end in victory and I could avenge my father as well as save hundreds of lives. My door creaked open slowly, and a soft tip toe echoed in the room, and then the person jumped on my bed. He jumped a few times and then sat on me. I switched on the light. Thentos grinned a real naughty Thentos grin. "Excited much?" He asked, placing his hands next to my head and leaning down slightly. "You most definitely are." A blush coloured his tanned skin slightly, and I could see just how gorgeous he was once again. His black hair was longer now almost to his shoulder blades and pulled into a ponytail, strings of it still covering his face. "Don't get used to it." He shrugged and rolled over. Laying next to me."Not in your wildest dreams." I smiled, but inside, I felt horribly

I have been alone in this dungeon for..... I lost count after the first few weeks. It was hard keeping track of days if you couldn't be sure whether it was night or day. I haven't had any company since they took my mother away. The only person who entered was the guard who brought me a blood bag... just enough to keep me alive but weak every couple of days. The door swung open to reveal Enrickio, I knew I was supposed to be angry, but all I could feel was relief. It has been so long without conversation or interaction that I was going insane in my solitude. I saw the pain in his eyes and recognized it immediately. I have only seen that once before, and that is when he had his heart broken. I felt sorry for him. That is the only pain he feels. He closed the door behind him and sat on the chair in the darkest corner. He sat there for a moment or two before breaking the silence; "Tomorrow is the day." He sighed. I could see that he didn't care about the battle tomorrow, a
