Chapter 12

"Wake up, Mrs. Wealth, Wake up," Paris heard a voice instructing her.

Her eyes opened and she finds herself still within the same spot from where she fainted, in her husband room.

"Mr. Wealth wants you to leave his room now, he's saying he need to get some rest, or I will be fired," Mandy said as she tried to help Paris up.

Mandy assisted Paris from the room. As they both leave the room, Archer approaches, his eyes kept away from Paris as he did. He entered his room and slammed the door behind him. The door closed very loudly, but Paris could hear the words her husband said about her and that was good riddance.

Mandy took Paris into her room and placed her onto the bed.

"Do you need anything before I leave?" asked Mandy.

"I need poison to take myself away from this miserable life," answered Paris.

Mandy was startled by what she had said and left troubled by her words.
