*Shrishti Pov*
“I should have known you were hiding something like this. What else, Kanika?” Prathap asked her while she glanced at me and I shook my head.
She sighed and just continued to explain what else happened along with the words she heard when she stayed there and I heard a loud sound suddenly.
I glanced at Vikranth to find him hitting the steering wheel and even Prathap glanced at him from the passenger seat while Kanika and Anny stayed silent between whom I am sitting right now. Vikranth hired a car for us to travel after getting down from the private plane which he also hired to come here immediately.
From the moment they reached the hotel, Kanika started telling them everything without hiding a small matter even though I am trying to stop her.
“Vikranth! It’s not like that and I actually ignored them all. Don’t think much about it.” However, it doesn’t seem like he is listening to my words at all.
*Nitish Pov* “Shrishti!” I whispered seeing her leave just like that and what kills me more is her asking me to first think about my business now and then we can talk to each other. “How dare he to talk to me in that tone? Doesn’t he know who I am? I will show him what will happen if he looks down on our family.” Dad burst out. “I will arrange a better marriage for you, Nitish. What is their family for me? It was all just an arranged scheme and there are better ones out there who can even save your company from this contract.” He added and I immediately glanced at him with disbelief. “Do you even hear yourself, Dad? She is not just an arranged scheme for me. She is my future wife and just remove all those thoughts from your head.” I warned him and he shook his head. “If you don’t listen to me, then I will just remove the investment from your company along with my thoughts. Will it be fine?” he threatened me and
*Nitish Pov* We traveled in silence and reached the hotel where Shrishti and I stayed yesterday and I realized, I left my luggage here. I got down and rushed to get the luggage fearing they will leave before I return. However, the car is still there and I sighed in relief before reaching the car. Shrishti is still sleeping which made me worry and I checked her forehead to see whether she has a fever but it is normal. “Let her sleep! She said these days she feels sleepy most of the time but had to stay awake because of your Mom’s words about her discipline.” Kanika explained and I flinched hearing those words. “Wow! That’s a bit harsh, Kanika. Did you bring him to join us just to poke him like this? Actually, what did you say to make him come with us and even ask Vikranth’s help by himself?” Prathap asked from the back. “I just told him that he can’t concentrate on just one thing this time and try to work
*Shrishti Pov*When I took the tray into my hands after arranging the coffee mugs and teacups properly, one of the servants in the kitchen reached me saying, "I will bring them out, Madam.""It's okay! You have other works to do. I am going to the garden anyway." Giving her a smile I turned around and started walking out of the kitchen. After a few steps, I realized I forgot the glass of juice, I prepared earlier and without it, there will be another drama. With a sigh, I turned around to step closer to the kitchen but paused hearing the conversation going on which is of course about me."I don't think she fo
*Mohan Pov* I closed my eyes in fatigue after two continuous sleepless nights. Even after a month, it is still not stuck that my wife passed away just like that in a blink. And now my daughter is continuously getting admitted to the hospital because of that day. This time it's already two days since she lost her conscious but there is no sign of her waking up. "Mohan! Our boss is here." Hearing those words from Pramod, I glanced up to find Mr. Ashok Guptha standing with him along with a boy. "Sir!" I greeted him standing up while he gave a nod before glancing at the private room she is staying in and that too with the help o
*Shrishti Pov*"This place changed a lot within a year, right?" my team started talking among themselves as we finished our work of arranging the decorations for the hall we got assigned to and we just need to make sure there is no problem otherwise everything is done."Yes! Even the expenses raised from last year." I commented checking the receipts."But we got paid more than last time too." One of them smiled and I nodded smiling back."We are going to the club we went to last time. You didn't join us as you were in a hurry to go home. Will you come with us today?" I glanced at Jenny who is my assistant and also the first person I hired after starting this e
*Nitish Pov*I stared at the woman shaking my hand with a curious look as she is staring me with an expectant look like ready to listen to whatever I am going to tell her and not just hear it."Don't be so excited about my story. It is boring compared to yours." I stated releasing her hand."My story?" she asked leaning back."Yes! A long last one-sided love story where her love is out of reach as he is a married man now. While you are trying to come over those feelings along with trying to make up to your mistakes with your other best friend." I explained and she glared at me before sighing."Right! Let me b
*Shrishti Pov*"Why are you again stuck to your phone? Is there any problem?" I glanced up from my phone hearing Jenny's voice."Problem? No!" I replied putting my phone away while she frowned at me."It's just I am messaging my friend." I added but she didn't change her look."I am serious! So, we need to go through the details once for tomorrow's event?" I asked standing up and she sighed."I don't know what is going on but if you are not comfortable and just lying to me then I can handle this event." She assured me.I smiled hearing her words and I am gla
*Shrishti Pov*I expected the meeting with his Grandma in too many ways while we were in the elevator but what I didn't expect was the room where she was supposed to stay is filled with people like too many people.Isn't there supposed to be a rule regarding how many people can enter the room at a time? I shook my head to brush off the question as something else is important right now.All those people are staring at us right now and slowly everyone smiled which made me take a step back but ended up standing closer to Nitish."They are my Grandma's friends and neighbors from her village." He whispered and I gave him a nod.
