Chapter 6: Siblings Talk

"We have arrived, your highness." The coachman informed as the royal carriage finally stopped at the entrance of the palace.

Evan step out and was immediately greeted by his servants, all bowing in respect.

"Welcome back, your highness." They all greeted.

And Evan smiled genuinely in return, before continueng to walk inside the grand castle of the royal family.

"Prince Evan, it is almost time." His personal servant reminded.

"I'll be heading there right away, Nino." Evan replied.

After reaching his destination, he immediately opened the large door and entered the wide ballroom, taking the attention of a certain group that is already waiting inside.

"Just right in time." A blonde young lady stated while gracefully motioning her fancy fan.

Her sharp eyes gaze right thru Evan with her sapphire blue irises. Her peachy skin highlighted her appearance as the bright chandelier shower her with light.

"Did I miss something, Eve?" Evan asked.

"Not much, brother." She smiled through her cherry red coated lips.

"Eve, can you explain me again why we need to practice this dance?" A familiar voice of a young man lazily asked from behind.

He run his hand through his dark brown hair and slowly approach Evan and Eve with dozing deep blue eyes, then he yawned.

And Eve couldn't help herself but sigh, while Evan just chuckled and patted his brother's back.

"Hows the paperwork, Stevan?" Evan asked.

"Horrible." He simply answered.

"That's because you don't immediately work on it." A brunet boy in his early teen joined in. "If a paperwork came you must finished it right away before it stock up and leave you dry."

He fixed his navy blue glasses and stared at Stevan with a look of disappointment in his light brown eyes.

"Don't give me that stare, Oliver," Stevan whined, "I am too tired to deal with you."

"Hit by the truth." Oliver smirk.

"That's rude." A dark haired boy commented from behind Eve and walk near Oliver.

"The truth can be harsh." Oliver reasoned, "And that's a fact, Stephan."

"Even so," his cobalt blue eyes then shifted to Stevan. "that's brother we are talking about."

"Don't scold me I'm older than you."

Stephan sighed in defeat.

"Yey! everyones is here!"

Sharp piercing voices then loudly exclaimed throughout the huge room, as two identical girls entered the room.

They approached the group with smiles as their cobalt eyes glistened with glee and their ebony hair cascade down their waist in big wavy curls.

"Same as always, the last ones are always Stephanie and Stephania" A black haired belle, who was just listening to the conversation finally spoke and let out a giggle.

"I agree with you, Evy." Eve also giggled.

Evy's amber eyes glistened with merriment and she couldn't help but sweetly smile. Having a bonding with her siblings like this is an event that she will never get bored of.

"Now that we are all here, let's get into positions." Eve announced, "Our dance instructor will be here in any minute now."

"This is a pain in the ass." Stevan whined once again as he hung his head low.

"Don't worry, brother, this will be the last rehearsal." Stephanie said.

"And tonight will be the finally." Stephania added with an assuring nod.

Stevan couldn't help himself but throw his hands up and sigh in defeat.

After their last rehearsal, the princesses and princes hurriedly throw on their fancy cothes for the big ball in the royal garden. This is their beloved mother's birthday and they want it to be perfect.

As the night finally envelope the sky, the moon made it's appearance with the twinkling stars. It is a sign that the ball in celebration of the queen's birthday have begun, valued guests are already swarming in the royal garden, greeting and praising the queen, along with her family.

"Princess Vivian Urson from the Kingdom of Tarvan!" the announcer announced.

A beautiful girl with dark obsidian hair, white porcelain skin, and precious amethyst irises then came in view from the entrance.

She approached the royal family with grace and curtsy with all respect.

"Good evening, your Majesties." She straightened her posture, "and most of all happy birthday Queen Elvira, may your beauty shine more."

"Thank you Princess Vivian." Elvira smiled back, "may your beauty shine as well."

"Your welcome, your majesty." She curtsy again before leaving.

But before she continued to her seat, she stop by at Evan who was just not too far also greeting the guest.

"Evan!" She called out, taking his attention.

Evan turned to her and gave a welcoming smile.

"How have you been, Vivian?"

"I've been great." She replied. "Save me a dance for later, okay?"

"Of course, I will."

"What about me Princess Vivian! would you dance with me right now" Stevan suddenly butt in, handing a flower to Vivian.

"Thank you," She accepted the flower, "but I am not available right now. See you later, Evan." Then she left.

"That's a harsh rejection." Oliver commented as he approach.

"Naah... don't worry I have plenty of girls, who is head over heels for me, to mingle" Stevan stated smiling.

"Plus, I already knew that she have a serious crush on our dear big brother here" he added elbowing Evan.

"Did she already confess, brother?" refering to Evan, Oliver asked.

"Don't listen to him, he's just jumping to his own conclusion again, that has no proofs" Evan replied.

"That's where your wrong, my conclusion is correct, and I have proof." Stevan confidently claimed.

"What is it?"

"It's pretty obvious, the way she blush, acts and talks to you, the obviousness of her having a crush on you is in the air"

"You looked livier tonight than our rehearsal last time, Stevan." Eve joined in with Evy and Stephan.

"What could I say," Stevan shrug. "their are many beautiful ladies tonight."

"What is this about Vivian?" She asked.

"You already know about it, sis." Oliver replied.

"Oh, this is about the lady's love department." Eve giggled.

"What if she truly have feelings for you, brother? What will you do?" Eve suddenly asked.

"She's just a childhood friend." Evan casually replied.

"You don't know what to do, don't you?" Oliver's words cut through Evan like a sharp knife immediately turning him into stone.

"As I thought." Oliver fixed his glasses and left.

"Oliver can read all of us like an open book." Stephan stated and everyone agreed with a nod.

"But don't worry, brother, we have your back" Stevan snake his arm to Evan's shoulder.

"That's not the problem here." Evan sighed, "I see Vivian as a childhood friend and that's all to it."

"Well, that will surely hurt her very bad." Eve commented.

"Just let her down slowly." Stevan advised.

"And how would I do that?"

"Hmmm..." Stevan hold his chin as he think. "Just find your true love right away, and she will just understand that you don't love her without you ever confronting her."

"That's a cowardly move." Stephan commented.

"Your not good at advising at all, Stevan." Evy added with a giggle.

"Well, it is a cowardly move but good enough to let down a girl than rejecting her head on while she's confessing her feelings." Eve agreed.

"Finally, Eve agreed with one of my idea." Stevan smirk.

"You just got lucky." Eve said as she unfolded her fan.

"But where would we find Evan's true love?" Evy asked.

"I don't know yet, but we need to find her immediately before Vivian confess." Stevan alarmed and Eve smack him with her fan.

"Love don't work that way." She corrected, "Love needs to be waited, not be find."

"I wonder when will you get a girlfriend, brother?" Stephan looked at Evan who just shrug.

"I know the right girl when I met one." His eyes then fell to a certain someone.

"Ms. Helen Revinyr and her apprentice Lady Mayari Alverno!" the announcer announced, as Helen and Mayari entered the party, earning all the eyes of the guests.

Mayari approached the King and Queen with her beautiful blossoming gown of cyan mixed with sky-blue shade. It has a long-length sleeves with loose ends, and crystal like gems pinned against the velvet frabic overlaying her skirt.

The dress neckline is below Mayari's shoulder and is trimmed with a soft white lace with shiny perfectly bead pearls. Greenish-blue opals are layed against her neck and are also hanging in her ears as dewdrop-shaped earings.

Silver rings of diamonds are entwined in her fingers, and beneath her feet is a pair of high heel shoes painted with pure snowy hue, and sparkles of clear bitty gems.

While Mayari's long night hair is styled into an alluring crowns braid, designed with a beautiful white lily and glistening pearls. Her make up is simple but enough to please the eyes of the beholder.

"Good evening, your majesties." Helen and Mayari curtsied together.

"And a very happy birthday to you, Elvira." Helen added.

Elvira stood up from her throne and gave Helen a warm hug.

"Welcome back." Elvira spoke as she pulled away.

"Glad to be home again." Helen smiled.

"Finally, you found yourself an apprentice, Helen." Stephen suddenly spoke as he stood up and approached them.

Elvira's chestnut eyes then immediately shifted to Mayari and she gracefully walked near her.

"She's someone special." Helen stated.

"Mayari was it?" Elvira gently held Mayari's hand, "Look after my sister okay?"

"She's quite old." Elvira whispered, and Helen just giggled, pretending that she never heard anything.

Mayari just nodded in response to the queen, and that is enough to make her sweetly smile at her.

"Prince Fernando Arscelor from the Kingdom Enchantia, and his wife, Princess Gema." the announcer announced, as a tall blond middle age man came in with his woman.

"Looks like my brother is here." The king informed.

"Let's leave the up coming chatting later, shall we sis?" Elvira asked.

"We shall." Helen replied with a nod.

Meanwhile, in the group of siblings that staring at Mayari.

"So aunt Helen have herself an apprentice." Eve stated the obvious, "That's new."

"That's just aunt Helen being aunt Helen." Stevan said.

"That's a good news." Stephan commented.

"It's nice to know that aunt Helen have a companion." Evy sweetly smiled.

"That girl is quite interesting, isn't she, Evan?" Stevan asked, strangling Evan with his arm.

"She is." Evan replied, pulling himself away from his brother's hold.

All at once his siblings eyes widened in glee with sparkling stars glistening in their irises like they were about to explode in delight. Their lips are all curve into a smile, and Evan just stared at them puzzled.

"Could it be?" Evy was the first to asked.

"Huh?" Evan is very confused.

"That our brother have finally found himself a lady to like?" Eve followed.
