Chapter 8 – Destination to new home

We were silent when we saw our families approach us with smiles that barely fit their lips. Everyone seemed very satisfied with the success of the occasion.

"Are you leaving already?" my father asked.

"Yes! Catherine is tired, and I confess that I am too." Hector replied calmly. "I think we can already make the traditional getaway without having to say goodbye to these boring people that you insisted on inviting."

He smiles in the very delicate way that Hector referred to the guests by our parents. I had to admit, he was a brave man, and that was one of the things I liked most about him. Even knowing that he would be criticized for the way he stood, he often had the courage to do or say things that I just silenced, but fully agreed with him.

"Behave yourself, son." My father-in-law scolded his son, who just shrugged and seemed to care. "It was important that they participate in this moment."

"I wonder how much." Hector rolled his eyes and gave him a light elbow to scold h
