Chapter Forty

The journey was a lot faster this time and once they got to the hill overlooking the house, Angel asked them all to wait. He then proceeded to scout the area, still carrying Nadia. He wasn’t in a hurry to break the skin contact with her and with how Nadia was rubbing against him he didn’t think she was ready too.

Angel thought the place was a tad deserted compared to the other time. There were no guards patrolling the grounds but he knew one guard was up the security tower. He could perceive his scent as well as the food he had for dinner. The compound was plunged into darkness and there were no signs that humans were inside the house.

When he realised he would need to climb and jump over the fence to get in, he said, “You may have to wait out here, Nadie, I need to climb the fence and scout the compound before I let the others in.” His voice was deep and hoarse and he knew why.

“Or we could just go walk through the gate,” Nadia replied sounding sultry. Angel almost moaned out loud
