Angel appeared behind the guard, looming over him. His eyes were dark with anger. Nadia's eyes widened right before Angel wrapped an arm around the guard’s neck and snap it. The guy slumped. Nadia jerked back but Angel gripped her by the forearms.

“What part of stay put, didn’t you get, Nadia?!” he snarled, baring his teeth. Fear flashed in Nadia’s eyes and he shut his eyes briefly to contain his anger. When he opened them again. His eyes were dark and Nadia was peering into them in apprehension.
