Creed rushed back home as if there was no tomorrow. After having a depressing consultation with master Hugh and realizing that this could very well be the end of his archery career, the ping from Raymond cheered him a bit.
Although there was no comparison between Apollo Nectar and Archery, both things were grand in their own ways. Master Hugh might have told him he had some kind of lead that could help him, but right now, Creed was preparing himself for the worst-case scenario.
In case the lead doesn't help him, then he will have to kiss archery goodbye. Just the realization of that fact had churned his intestines so much, putting him on the verge of crying.

Two hours later, Creed woke up with a numbing soreness over his entire body. He felt as if someone had severely hammered every possible joint in his skeleton. Even moving a finger was flaring an excruciating pain in his nerves.Raymond had warned him that the pain would be something he had to go through, no matter how strong he was. Everyone has to go through this pain because there are a plethora of changes that happen after drinking the serum.Not only is his metabolism changing, but the heat radiating from his body is also being stifled. The pain receptors are adjusting to the sudden shuffle. Organs rearranging themselves, radicals going into a hyper-drive, and cells secreting volatile enzymes to avoid fatality. In short, there was a lot of wear and tear going on inside his body right now, and this horrendous pain was just part of the process.

Beneath the glossy moonlight, Creed couldn't stop staring at the feminine figure who stood in front of him with a bewitching smile. Her glossy lips seemed carved out like a sculpture. Her dark pupils peered out through rogue strands of silky hair like those of a cornered animal. Defiant and intense, yet vulnerable and fragile at the same time. Her hourglass waist was wrapped in a purple backless gown, accentuating sensational curves on her body. The deep neck pattern flaunted her breasts, making it almost impossible for Creed to not ogle. If that wasn't enough, there was a wide cut on one side revealing her left thigh. She was also wearing heels that gave her posture a womanly charm he never expected from a woman that was on the verge of death on his back only a few days ago.

Creed and Artemis were just about to leave, but Artemis's father, Howard Adler, interrupted them. He inched closer to them with a face devoid of every expression. Creed's heartbeat was off the charts. Artemis broker the tension with her voice, "Dad, we were just about to leave." "I see!" Howard replied with much change in his expression, "Well, since you haven't left yet, I wanna talk with Creed for a moment." "Oh, come on! The atmosphere inside the hall was horrifying and diabolical. At least that is what Creed felt. Creed noticed everyone had a smile on their faces, but the same couldn't be said for him.A flamboyant element of amusement and shock was noticeable in their eyes the moment they entered the hall.Even after toning down his perception, he couldn't help but feel himself dragging his feet through a dense quagmire.This feeling of dread and nausea happened because Creed has always been sensitive to rhythms.He knew it was almost impossible for anyone to leave no trace of their rhythm.
