Chapter 52

Rushing into the bungalow, Ava and Rebecca were frantic, yet Hunter wasn’t in bed and nowhere in sight.

“Hunter? Are you here? Rebecca, where is he?”

Looking around the tiny island home, Rebecca ran to the restroom where she heard the water running and a pool flooding out from the doorway. What she was when she got there was a shock to the system and she rushed to her friend's side.

“Ava! Come quick! Call the island medics!”

In a pool of water that rushed from the tub, Hunter was lying face down on the floor, soaking wet and lethargic.

“Hunter, wake up! Hunter!”

When Ava reached the room, her hands flew over her face, trying to not let the scream escape her lips. “Master! Oh, God, no! Is he breathing?”

“Barley,” Rebecca said as she scooped him up in her arms, taking him to the bedroom. “Help me get these clothes off him. I’ll call for help.”
