AZALEA'S POV

Instead of answering him, I put the tea cup down. He watched me in confusion as I prodded my eyes. The contacts were sore, and I could only imagine that it was because I had them on for so long, but I managed to pull them out anyway. I looked down and blinked a few times before looking back at him. When I did, he froze.

“You have King Aragon’s eyes,” he whispered.

“That’s because he’s my father,” I replied.

“Impossible,” he blinked.

“I’m sitting before you aren’t I?” I pointed out.

“But how?” he frowned.

I sighed and told him my entire life story. Just like Thane, he was thoroughly entertained the whole way, and his facial expressions were comical, but I told my story without laughing at him. By the time I was done, he looked like he had a million questions to ask.

“Ask away,” I told him.
