Chapter 166 - Knocked Out

I kiss Aria on the head and walk from the room, grinning. I'm still trying to figure out what to make of my two best friends. There is no judgment on either of them, but I'm still trying to get used to it. I can't believe we have been friends all this time, and it took Aria coming to us for Jory and Merrick to finally hook up as they do. They do seem happier, though, and that's all that matters.

Walking into the nursery, I go straight to Jordan's crib since he's the one fussing. Just as I reach in to pick him up, so I can rock him, pain slices through the back of my head, and I blink back the darkness that wants to take hold, only it's a losing battle as I feel myself falling. Someone catches me and lowers me down as everything goes black.
