I was looking forward to a call from her but it didn't come and so we had to go into her office.

As I was about to step into the place, Lawrence held me back.

“What? Do you sense something?”

Since Ice had been AWOL, I didn't have the senses of wolves like I used to.

“No, I'm just wondering if she has rigged her office like the last time. I don't want to risk lives. We wouldn't be able to save everyone if we tripped an alarm. This building is too big.”

He was right but I didn't think Lizzy would risk the lives of so many people just to take.us out of the picture. Or would she? I didn't know.

“I don't think she would do such a thing. Is there any way we can check?”

He took off his boots and threw them into the room and waited. The sun was rising fast and more people were filling the company.

If she did set a trap, maybe now wasn't the right time to find out.

People were using the elevator and it won't be long before someone comes to this floor.
