I took my time walking up the stairs. I didn't even have the strength to run up the stairs like Lawrence.

By the time we got to the office, the guards were just leaving and we entered and shut the door. Carlsile was passed out on the couch and Gomez was panting heavily.

I walked over to my husband and stared at him. The blood stain on his shirt was spreading and from the looks of it, a lot had happened from last night till this moment.

“A lot. He got shot trying to save someone and the bullet went through his shoulder. We got treated at the President's house but he lost a lot of blood. I don't know when he's going to be awake.”
