Chapter 5

—JENNIFER—

" A-Are y-you, by any chance, Christian Brown?? " Cally, who I assumed to have passed out because of the looks of this man, Finally spoke up and I looked at her in confusion

"Oh, Finally. Your friend at least possesses some brain. " He mocked, pulling even a ruder face with the dripping pride of his name that made me snort once again.

"As in, THE CHRISTIAN BROWN?? " Cally asked again, pulling 'The' a little longer to conform and he glared at her before he answered.

" Do you need a fucking birth certificate?? " He barked in annoyance at her repetitive questions while I was focused on Cally for some moments who gasped at his confirmation.

She's the kind of person who can make people's ears bleed with her curses if they ever tried to mess with her or even me. But today, she was just staring at this rude person with her jaws dropped and swooning over his looks.

Well, fighting is another thing. We can't ignore a handsome man in any situation. So it was usual. What was not usual is, her not arguing despite his looks.

I stared at her and her behaviour. Then, it rang a bell in my head and I whipped my head towards the man in front of me as the realisation washed over me.

Christian Brown. Son of Matthew Brown and the sole heir of his business. They own the majority of the hotels and restaurants in the city. I've also seen his photo once in a magazine about young billionaires.

Wait!! Did I just get myself into a fight with some billionaire??

No, you have just planned your murder in a perfect way. My subconscious stated.

Well, it wouldn't be that bad if I'll be getting a chance to get killed by a handsome billionaire.

Oh God, Get a grip Jenni!!

I looked up at the man whose lips were now twitched upwards in an arrogant smirk. My inner turmoil was probably written all over my face.

" You better check the person before you start talking shit from next time. " The man spoke up, pulling me out of my thoughts and I stared at him with disbelief while he turned to get back in his car and I stared at him in daze before shouting once again.

Or you should say, inviting him to come and destroy me.

"What about this??" I ran behind him and stood between his Oh-So-Luxurious car and him while pointing towards my shirt with one hand and raising my books in the other.

"About what, again?? " He cocked an amused brow looking at my shirt and I frowned.

What the fuck is so amusing about it??

I followed his gaze and looked down to realise that I was pointing at my chest.

Wow!! Way to embarrass yourself Jenni!!

I wanted to just throw myself in front of one of the cars running behind.

" I was talking about my shirt, you idiot." I pulled my hand down, instantly. " You should apologise for the mess you made. " I gave him a pointed look.

"Look Princess!! " The word seemed more like a curse word coming from his mouth,as if he was mocking me. " The world doesn't revolve around you. Consider it first and last warning. Do not mess with me. "

He glared and without waiting for any reply opened his car door.

"But, my shirt-

I whined and his movement stopped once again before he closed the door harshly and turned towards me with rage.

"Seriously?? What the fuck do you want?? To wash your damn shirt and buy you books?? " His voice rising with each word this time as he growled again, being impatient and furious, a vein in his forehead throbbing wildly.

"A sorry would have worked. But the way you have behaved, this suggestion seems more justifying." I said, crossing my arms around my chest matching his glare and he clenched his teeth, as if trying to turn them into powder.

Wow!! Did I just put the future CEO of Brown Industries on laundry service??

Well, You see. Isn't life full of surprises?

But it wouldn't be much of a surprise if you found yourself in the grave six feet under, in the upcoming seconds.

"What?? " He asked, not believing that anyone can ever talk to him like that.

A moment passed And then, the anger was gone, replaced by amusement once again.

"Okay." He said and I frowned.

"What okay?? " I asked.

"I'll wash your shirt." He simply said and my frown deepened.

He agreed?? Just like that??

This doesn't look good.

" You'll wash it?? You'll wash my shirt?" I asked again in disbelief.

" I suggest you get your ears checked. I just agreed to wash it. Now take it off. " He said and an embarrassing heat creeped on my neck while my jaws dropped one more time.

"What did you just say?? " I asked, horrified.

"Take it off or do you need help with this?? " He asked again with a cocky smirk and I stood there with my jaws dropped.

Before I could think of any retort his phone rang and he turned stoic, void of any emotions, even from anger that he was throwing towards me a moment ago. Disconnecting the call he looked at me again and exhaled an irritated sight before pulling out his wallet.

"Looks like this has to wait. Take this and buy yourself a new shirt and, " He looked at my books. The covers were clearly screaming DARK ROMANCE and my cheeks got heated as he looked back at me. " what the ever shit you read. " He stuffed lot's of notes in my hand before getting inside his car.

I looked at the money once while gritting my teeth before turning towards his car and knocked on his window.

I saw him inhaling another frustrated sigh before he rolled down the glass and looked at me. I threw his money on his face before saying.

"Take this money and hire yourself an Etiquette Coach and take some driving lessons. Moron!! " Saying that I walked back and he drove off after some seconds.

I hope I never have to see him again or I'll break his handsome face.
