Their meeting was not going well from the start, and Safira sensed it all. She pretended not to notice and barged into the campus corridors, needing to meet someone while ignoring Bryan.

Safira had an appointment with the campus dean, so she walked to the end of the corridor and took the elevator to the floor where she already knew she needed to be, in the front room.

She entered by knocking on the door. She opened the door after receiving directions from the male voice within and saw two middle-aged guys staring at her warmly but awkwardly. When he noticed Devano's father was sitting in the chair, her eyes widened.

"Come in and take a seat," Bharat said with a smile. He motioned to the sofa and walked out from his table to join the three of them sitting on it.

"Head dean, may I speak with her for a moment?"

"Of course, sir, I'll come out and talk to you."

Safira was becoming anxious in the room with her father-in-law, and she had no idea why he was there.
