Chapter 20
"Wake up Ash, it's 10am already" Anabelle tapped Ashley's leg to wake her up.
Ashley stirred and mumbled something Annabelle couldn't make out.
"Ashley" She moved closer to her, grabbed her shoulders and shook her.
"Hmm" Ashley mumbled and her eyes opened slowly. The brightness of the room made her squint her eyes. She yawned loudly, stretched her arms and then rubbed her eyes.
"I thought you were dead" Anabelle teased and chuckled.
Ashley groaned and held her head.
"What? Are you sick?" She asked, putting her hand on Ashley's forehead.
"No, my head hurts" Ashley replied slowly pushing Annabelle's hand away from her forehead.
She looked around the room and her eyes locked with Claire's who quickly removed her gaze and focused all her attention on her phone.
Monica strolled out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body.

"Do you know that Mr Briggs will put us in groups today?" Annabelle asked Ashley who was busy lacing her shoes.It was a Monday morning and they were preparing for school."Oh lord, please let me be in a group of brilliant minds" Said Monica.Ashely scoffed at her prayer and said, "Anna, I'm all done. "And where do you think you're going?" A voice said behind them and they turned. It was Charles and some other guys. There was this dangerous aura around him as he fixed his eyes on the trio. "You have to watch out for the demons. They'll be after you now that your identity has been revealed and they'll try to kill more humans than before to bring back the war beast as soon as possible..." Priestess Luciana's words rang a bell in Ashley's ears. Moving a step forward, she said, "What now? What do you want huh?". A smirk appeared on her lips as she questioned the confident looking Charles. Charles squinted his eyes. Already, his blood was boiling and the only thing he wanted to do at the moment was to wipe them away from the surface of the earth. Ashley was seated in her dad's mini van. Her forehead was wrinkled, her eyebrows drawn together, her lips turned downward. She was angry. Angry that they had to relocate, angry that her dad enrolled her in a boarding school because he'll be going on a business trip alongside with her mom, angry dad she's gonna have to start a new life in her new school, angry that she got separated from her friends.
