Iris
I didn't know how to explain my miserable life. The man who made it clear that I have to be just a maid didn't bother to treat me well. I was dumb too. I expected a ruthless mafia to care for someone who got the courage to kill him.
I was cleaning the utensils in the kitchen when such thoughts crossed my mind. My parents treated me like a princess and here I became just a maid. A few days back when he declared my future in his house, I thought I might be able to escape the hell hole soon. The increasing security stuff and my restricted movements made it clear that I might have to spend my life being an illiterate maid in Bratva's mansion.
"Girl, what are you thinking? Let me help you." Maria came forward to help with dishes which I politely declined. She was appointed by Dimitrios to teach me the household works. I won't deny that Maria was sober and patient with me. I barely did any household job in past. Even though we weren't super-rich
Iris One last look at Dimitrios made me think about how to kill that person. He was merciless and above all, he was a monster. I had never seen such toxic people who enjoyed watching someone in pain. He was ten years older than me but I was sure he had never learned how to be good with people. Closing my eyes and thinking about my father, I started running as fast as I could. He said my timing should be impressive and he didn't mention the threshold. For a moment I panicked but later I realized that I couldn't quit without trying. Just after the first round, I found myself out of breath because never in my life had I run so much. I might have played volleyball and badminton but never too seriously. On the third lap, I realized that my feet were severely aching because of the shoes. It was not at all a running shoe and the insole was making it tough for me to run. It two seconds for me to make a decision. I glanced at Dimitrios and Igor. As soon as my eyes met D
Iris stirred in her sleep when she felt a soothing pat on her head. It was so constant that she relaxed her body more. When a hand caressed her cheeks, she couldn't help but push herself more in the palm greedily. Involuntarily her actions made the man chuckle a little."Such a kid..." A whisper only came out from his mouth.Retreating his hand he went back to his previous position that was standing. Due to the sudden loss of warmth and caress her eyebrows knitted together. Even in her deep slumber, all she could feel was the missing of those touches.Watching her sleeping intently he reached the foot of the bed and sat just inches away from her petite on the bed. Throwing his hand under the blanket he grabbed her first leg and pulled out a little to examine. The calf muscles were stiffened badly and the skin of her feet was already scraped.Putting some gentle pressure on her leg he started pressing the exact nerves to make her muscles
Walking upstairs the first thing Dimitrios did was get rid of his suit jacket and tie. Rolling his sleeves up to elbow he walked inside his washroom to splash some water on his face to reduce the heat that utterly generated hearing the nonsense from Maria. Once he understood that a little of his temper came down he pushed the door open and came out of the room. Walking with measured steps he reached the other end of the corridor and stood in front of Iris's room. Twice he knocked on the door frame out of courtesy but heard no response. Frustrated with the result he pushed the door open to have a better look at the situation. The lights were dimmed inside the room but her silhouette was visible enough for him to understand. She was sprawled on the bed like dead fish and completely lost in her deep slumber. "How much she could sleep?" He scoffed but later remembered his last conversation with Maria. She was having a high fever and the doctor w
Iris came down to the dining hall at the usual time. One week had passed since she gained her strength back and started working and living normally. Even though there was a hazy memory of her being in someone's arm or getting a bit care, she couldn't remember who had exactly helped her in past. A part of her mind was confident enough to accept Igor as her savior. But the strange feeling of seeing Dimitrios didn't leave her brain too. His stoic expression and harsh words never did some good to her and she was in no place to ask if he was actually there during her miserable days. "Lost in thoughts?" Maria's approach and words grabbed Iris's attention while she was helping her in the kitchen. "Not exactly. I was just thinking......" Before Iris could finish speaking one of the staff came inside the kitchen to look for her. "Maria, the boss has asked for his new prisoner." Iris watched the smug plastered on the man's face and walke
"Breath....... Deep Breath...... And More Deep Breath......" Iris told herself while walking out of the principal's office. There was an attorney and a man present in the Principal's room who was discussing her. Dimitrios made it very clear that she would be allowed in the middle of the semester to continue her study. But the fact of being watched or tracked every time was added as a bonus. Even though she was introduced as a relative of some unknown powerful businessman who preferred to let her study in one of the renowned schools, the reality didn't change a little. Iris didn't know how they would keep on tracking her but with the way Dimitrios had threatened her, she understood how hard it would be for her to escape this web of lies and complications. "Breath....." Iris scolded herself again remembering how those men sent by Dimitrios made it clear to the principal to keep an eye on her. Upon imagining all sorts of techniques to flee away
"Six months..... Boss..... Six damn months......" Igor grabbed Dimitrios's attention who was reluctantly sitting on his big leather chair smoking a cigar and looking at the glass of whiskey placed in front."I know..... " Came a short reply from his end."Don't you think she deserves to be given a fair chance? She didn't try escaping." Igor sat on the chair placed in front of his desk and watched Dimitrios's reactions carefully."Just because she hasn't tried anything stupid till now, doesn't mean she won't try in the future. And what else do you want me to provide Igor? I allowed her to study......and......" Dimitrios took a puff and made a ring with a smoke. Annoyance was clear on his face."And what? You have given her enough tasks to exhaust her daily. She attends school, clears her exams, and keeps on doing every work you assign to her. Now you are planning to put her in the fight? She is a girl. A teenage girl." Igor finished his e
"A fighter doesn’t have a gender. Win the fight and get your freedom.” Iris blinked her eyes twice to understand what exactly he had just said. "My freedom?" The major word that left her mouth was "My freedom" only. "Yes. Your freedom. Win the fight and get what you want." Dimitrios laughed walking away leaving her there in front of Jim. "But you know this is unfair," Iris screamed in agony. "Keep screaming but remember it won't help you win. I wonder how pathetic you could be. If I were at your place, I would have grabbed this opportunity instead of crying over the situation." Dimitrios turned towards her to give a long speech. "But you know I would lose." "So pessimistic. No fight is lost until someone tries it. You seriously need to be taught a lot." Chuckling a little Dimitrios walked to the chair where he was sitting earlier. "Now hurry up girl. I don't have the whole day f
"What are you doing?" Dimitrios stopped in the middle holding the corner of the fabric she was wearing. Her widened eyes, shy look, and frightened face made him think twice before moving forward. There wasn't an ounce of filthy thought when he tried to see how much damage Jim's punches caused. But hearing her voice, he was taken aback. Even though his intentions were clear, he understood she was a teenager who was just stepping towards an age where the prominent differentiation between men and women had started coming up. "Do you want me to call Maria to help you?" Dimitrios brought out an ice pack and placed it at her temples where the blood clot had already appeared. "Yes." She tried to move away from the position but putting a little more pressure Dimitrios made her sit at that exact position. "Don't move or else the next punch would be from my side. And trust me I'm more strength than Jim." Glaring at her stubbornness he put anot
