Date night

The wedding was last week Saturday and tuday was a Friday. And let me juat make a clarity the day Alex and I are finally going on our date.

I came back from work a little bit earlier there wasn't much to do anyways so yeah. Coming back early couldn't hurt anyone. And not to mention he called early today to confirm if this was he day and I could sense the nervousness in his voice.

I ripped open my beroom door only to find a mess on the bed and couch.  A wide grin was plastered on a face the moment I registered what was happening . Dresses scattered on my bed along with my high heels on the floor.  Instead of being mad I was glad that Eliz did this. I knew that  hsed wnat yk drees me up like a doll but my mind was  already made up. I was sertling fir something simple.

"Something simple", were teh two words that left my mouth before closing the door behind me.

"Well , something like 'hello lovely Eliz.  Thank you fir this ' could have been much nicer. She says mimicking my voice and pouts after that. But soo the pout leaves her face being replaced by a wide smile. "Now say no more, go bath so taht I can get you ready", she beams in excitment.

By the time I took a last glance at the mirror, a black range rover had already parked in out driveway  ten monutes earlier than the set time. Eliz tileted my head to do a little inspection on my makeup befire she was clapping her hands in excitement and I was ready to go but I wasn't satisfued yet.

I took in my appearance in the mirror fir the last time. Eliz relaly out did herself this time. I had on a nice black knee length off shoulder dress which showed off my transparent bra straps. My hair  was cascafing over my shoulders all the way down my back with it's ends slightly curled.

Making my mind up I grabbed my purse and went down the stairs only to find Alex with and my aunt in a fit of laughter.  Well, I didn't expect that.  Alex stood up the moment he saw me , grabbing the flowers on the table and gace them to me.

Jasmine flowers. I love those.

"Yours", he said giving them  to me.

"Thank you ", I said smiling. What  was I supposed to do. Hig him or maybe a peck on ghe chick.

No no no. Bad idea . That would send him running for the hills.

"Isn't it not time for the twoo of you to go?", Eliz said breaking the silence.  Thank goodness someone saw how awkward the silence was and how my aunt stared at us in adoration. I really wasn't in for the 'aww you teo are cute', she usually gives.

I gave Eliz the flowers to put in the vase, held  my purse tightly on my hand, linked my arm with Alex's as he'd been stretching his arm to do so.

"And another thing", my Aunt said standingby the door looking outside where we were now standing. "Take good acre of her , bring her home in pne piece or consider yourself dead", she warned.

"Mom", I whyned and  a little bit embarrassed.  I didn't balme her . She's a mother and it's her duty to do so. Protect us.

Just as ai was about to open the door Alex beat me to it and opened ut first.  U motuhed a thank you and got in.  He jogged to his side and got in.

So ...... where are we going", I asked trying to start a conversation.

"Why don't we make that  a suprise ", he said giving me a smile. I could stare  wothout blinking until my eyes were sore .

"Okay.  How long is it going to take for us to get there ", I asked as the engine came to life and drove out of out driveway and out we went.  It's a date.

"You're  a curious pweosn now aren't you?", he asked giving me another smile.  Why dies he keep smiling.  Does he want to get  me fainting beacuse of his beautiful smiles.

"Yep", I said returning his smile. "But then , I guess Ill have to be patient with that again.  I said.

"Yeah", he said befire switching on some music  and drove in a comfortable silence.

"Here we are beautiful". He said as he  parked the car at the restaurants parking lot

Did he just call me beautiful. 

"Stay here", he siad switching off the engine. Jogged to my side and open the door.

"Why did you tell me to stay if you just wanted to open the dorr . I could have done it".

"Because I didn't want you beating me to it", he said.

"What?". I let out a soft giggle.  He's impossible but I am impressed.

Once again we intertwined our arms and went in the restaurant.

We wnet in and there  were only a few people  in dinner dresses and suits but skem just casual.  So thats why he insisted in what I should wede what i would be comfortable in. No o e would really ccare or watch what I wore.

One of the waitress led us to our booth which was by the corner.  There was  a wall of glass and had a very breathtaking veiw. I stared outside still over whelmed by the view.  It was refreshing with all the beautiful  different lights decorating the place.

"Breathtaking veiw huh?". He asked and I slightly nodded in return still looking outside.

"Are you ready to order", Alex asked me. I think he noticed  that I zone out a little  bit.

We ordered our food and dug in. We had a very good conversation while having and I was able to notice a few small things.  He had a dimple showing everytime he smiled.  He stole glances of everytime I wasn't looking  at him and pretended like he wasn't once I caught him.

When I had the last spoon of my dessert  it wa slate already and a lot of atbles were now empty except for a few including ours. He was just a slow eater like I was . Noticing that we both jsut had out last spoons we laughed noticing that  we'd finished together.

He called the waiter and paid the bill.  Even though I was a little bit uneays about him having to pay the bill. I  insisted on splitting the bill but it was just a losing battle so I let him be.

The drive home was once again a comfortable silence with some music playing in the background. He drove into my drive way parked the car quiclky opened his door to run to my side nad opened my door. I had a wide grin on my face laughing at the way hee was panicking.

I know what  made him panick. His eyes told the whole story , I wish he knew hiw I felt from the moment I caught him staring glances at me in the wedding.

We slowly went up up stairs and stood facing eachother silently.

"So", he asked.

"Thank you for tonight. I really had a great time ", I said.

"Me too and I'm hoping  fir another night night loke this or maybe even more", he smirked closing the distance and hugged me .

We drew back al ittle . Our lips a few millimetres apart. His eyes were connected with mine.  I stared at his piercing  blue eyes  and drowned in them like I did when we danced. Eyes were windows of the heart and I saw it in his eyes. Yes I was right .

Heat radiated from him. And his cologne hit my nose and I inhaled deeply savoring the moment. Our gazes fixed on the other.

He lifted his index finger under my jaw and tilted it up.

He leaned down and I met him half way and there it was .

Oh God.

Kisses weren't supposed to feel this good. It was slow and sweet with a little but taste of his dessert  as if he were physically holding hsimself back. The corner of his mouth tickled incessantly, as if urging me to deepen it.

While I was enjoying this he drew back and gave  me a lazy smile while hus hand ran through his hair. 

And I realized that he was teasing me .

Before he could say anything or register wjat was happening  next I lunged at him and kissed him hard.

It wasn't enough.  I wanted more.
