Chapter 38- Anguish

“Fuck,” he looked around for the culprit, but whomever it was must have left the spot already. “Athena,” he began tapping her cheeks, but her eyes slowly began to close. He was raging, his doll was shot right before him, and he couldn’t do jack squat about it.

“Baby girl,” he tapped her cheeks again, but Athena’s eyes began to get droopy. She looked in pain, “don’t close those eyes, Athena. Please, look at me,” he anguishedly pleaded with her. Her hands moved to her stomach, and she clutched there and saw blood. “Athena, don’t look down, please, doll. Look at me. Look into my eyes,” he gently lifted her face up. He knew she didn’t like to look at the blood.

“Tell me where it hurts, doll,” he begged her, but the girl did not answer. How could she? It was not everyday existence that she got shot.

“Nothing’s going to happen to you, doll. I will save you,” he tried to pick her up, but he cannot move her. It would only increase the loss of blood.
