Chapter 8

Kiara's POV

The Fashion show was this weekend, I know I won't be surprised by a lot of fashion icons I will see there... Sebastian always puts up a good show and lots of new designs every year... His exhibition has always been remarkable, something I always look forward to seeing...

Yeah, I was excited but not as much as Natalie who couldn't stop talking about it for a whole week... Natalie and I decided to meet at my place... Since my house is not far from the Pere D' Santo where the exhibition will be held...

Natalie decided to go for a simple look... An off-shoulder jumpsuit with sequin floral... But I on the other hand wore the dress that I had designed for my graduation afterparty which sadly didn't happen...

It was a dress that was made with shimmering metallic crepe that shines under the light... It has a deep V-neck bodice that is captivating and thin spaghetti lines that cross over the open back gathering at the banded natural waistline...It also had a translucent overlay on the A-line skirt that allow a peek at the coordinating lining with side slits...

"You look gorgeous Kaira... Wow!! This dress is really something else..." Max said

"You are right baby...kaira, you look beautiful. When did u make this dress?..." Jane asked admiring my dress...

"You don't wanna know dear... But anyways thanks guys, I really appreciate the whole flattering, but we have to go..."

I held Natalie's hand and literally pulled her from the house to the car that was waiting for us...

The road to Pere D' Santo was a smooth ride. The driver took Broadway kings road to avoid traffic at the civic center...

We got to the venue exactly past 7 pm. It was a magnificent sight to behold... The red carpet was exceptionally beautiful... To me, fashion week is one of the most beautiful events I looked forward to grace every year...

Natalie and I made our way to the red carpet... Took a few pictures at the stand then made our way inside the main hall where the event is to take place... Right there I could see all the fashion icons... Businessmen and women, movie stars, and even some musicians grace the occasion too... We were heading to the front seat when I heard a voice from behind.....

"Hey, I love ur dress..."

I didn't recognize the voice but when I turned to at least appreciate who had admired my dress... My throat went dry when I saw it was Kendi Mya... Kendi Mya was a supermodel from Kingston... I have always idolized Kendi Mya since I was in college. I even had her pictures all over my walls back in college...

"Thank you.." I said

"So, who is the designer?" She asked

" Well, I designed it myself..." I smiled

"Wow!, so you are a designer I suppose....?"

"Yes, I am.." I answered

"Interesting... I would like to have something like this... I really like the texture and the fabric... You are really good.." She smiled

"Thank you so much" I smiled

She opened her purse and brought out her official card

"Here is my card... Call me okay..." She walked away...

I was just standing there. I couldn't believe what just happened. Did I just have a conversation with Kendi or are my dreaming... I was just in my thought when Natalie tap me...

"Kaira, the show is about to start... Let's set over there" she pointed at the second role...

That voice sounds so familiar... Yea, I was right. The voice was David... Who invited David to host this show...? The voice continued ...

After minutes of waiting, the fashion show finally began...Sebastian officially launched his new clothing line COMFORTABLE IN STYLE... His models were very beautiful and well-suited for the design...

COMFORTABLE IN STYLE was basically a clothing line that involved sweatpants, sweatshirts, hoodies, and tank tops... Sebastian designed it in a way that the ladies could wear it anywhere and still feel comfortable and sexy...

When the models were through showcasing the first set of the clothing line... David went on stage again to introduce an entertainer for the evening...

{Ladies and gentlemen, for our entertainment tonight... I will like us to welcome one of our brothers... Jaxon Marcian}

Immediately I heard the name my heart skips... I never watched Jaxon perform live on stage before... I only watched him on television... But what I saw tonight was so amazing... He wore a white dinner jacket paired with black pants and a black bow tie...

Immediately he started singing, all the girls in the room were shouting his name... Some were even saying they loved him...

After the event... It was time for the afterparty... Everybody was heading to the ballroom... But I had to look for Jaxon... I was walking around looking for Jaxon when I tripped... Thank god I was caught by someone before I could fall to the ground...

When I looked up to see the person that saved me, it was Jordan Marcian...

"Are u stalking me now...?" I asked...

"What?... i just saved you..."
