Ivara's POV

I stood behind the curtains, unable to bring myself to step into Eryndor's room.

We had ended up in his quarters — though “quarters” hardly described the space. It was a freaking villa. The surprise Granny Jojo talked about was him regaining consciousness.

Of course, I was happy— genuinely happy. But how could I show him my face, knowing he was in this situation because he tried to help me, yet I couldn't even escape.

No, I couldn't. I preferred the unconscious him. It would’ve been

The fact Ivara thinks highly of Eryndor without knowing his true nature. What's he even trying to do now? SMH. Who else wants to see how their relationship works out because I'm SAT... I want to know about Eryndor's motive and why he's so mean and evil.

what her body assumes is the smaller predator. If you think about it, she’s used to people being cruel and horrible to her face, besides Adrian, she hasn’t met a villain quite like Eryndoe yet. And from personal experience with trauma, choosing a safe outlet when there is no safe outlet is like

  • Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha    Chapter: 220: Really Infuriating

Ivara's POVFor one horrifying second, I wondered whether I'd made a terrible mistake hugging him, but then his arms came around me.I hadn't expected him to do that, and the suddenness of the gesture made my heart do a little flip.I should have pulled away. There was no excuse to keep hugging him, but I didn't. I stayed, wrapped in his arms because it was comforting. It was strange how easily I was finding comfort in the very person I wasn't supposed to.I didn't want to let go. Not yet. Perhaps not for a little while longer. So I stayed, listening to the steady beat beneath my ear as his fingers continued to comb through my hair.Gradually, the ache in my chest began to subside. My breathing evened out, and I finally managed to blink back the tears I'd been struggling to hold in.I didn't know how long we remained like that before the realization began to creep in.We were still hugging, and it wasn't the brief hug I'd initially wanted. My fingers twitched against his shirt. I shou

  • Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha    Chapter 219: Do You Think I'm Stupid?

Ivara's POVIt had been several minutes since Xlynor left with Isagi, and I was still in the glasshouse, unable to think straight.I was supposed to confront Xlynor… No, not confront him. Scold him a bit or whatever, then thank him, and finally ask how to take the bracelet off. He couldn't just be giving this sort of gift to people. What if I had ill intentions? But the problem was I didn't know how to go about it. In fact, I had almost smiled at him earlier. And now he was back. He was fucking back. I could see him through the glass. The lanterns lining the garden path spilled warm, golden light over him as he approached the glasshouse. He still looked sick, that twisted scowl fixed on his face. But, oh, dear Goddess, he looked sinful. It was only then that I noticed he'd changed out of his earlier outfit, but this one still screamed royalty. He had on his usual robe, the hem dragging against the stone path.Where the hell had he gone to? And why did he look like that?“Oh, damn it!

  • Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha    Chapter 218: A Little More Exaggeration

Xlynor's POV“You've got to be kidding me,” Isagi groaned, shaking his head. “Off-limits? That's not going to work. Besides, I'll have to show her what you did to me with a little more exaggeration. She can't be off-limits.”I stared at him flatly. “You seem to be forgetting you have no say here.”“You always have to be so miserable. It's not like I'm doing anything with her or that I have ill intentions,” he hissed through clenched teeth. “I don't know what your problem is.”I didn't speak, only glared hard at him.He rolled his eyes, straightened, and began walking away. “Fine, I'll think about it.”I grabbed his shoulder and roughly pulled him back, making him stumble. “You and I both know how corny and sly you are. And for fuck's sake, Isagi, if you piss me off, you're going to regret it.” My voice hardened, a warning rumbling beneath it. “Stay off my business.”He shook off my grasp with an irritated scowl. “If a girl you brought home starts driving my instincts insane, messing w

  • Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha    Chapter 217: Off-limits

Xlynor's POVShe was laughing with Isagi! She was fucking laughing with him while he openly flirted with her, his gaze flickering towards me at intervals. And Ivara? She didn't even know I was there, she was too engrossed in her conversation. I finally managed to get here, only to be greeted by this nonsense?Wasn't this the same man who had left her injured and hurting yesterday? And now she was laughing with him?She finally stood and turned around, still smiling. Then her gaze fell on me, and she froze. Staring like she wasn't expecting me, and I was interrupting something. How rude.I ignored her questioning gaze. Her rudeness was the least of my concerns.“We need to talk,” I said to Isagi, my tone harsher than intended. He glanced around before pointing at himself. “Me or her?” He pointed at Ivara.I only glared. He raised both hands. “Got it. This might be the politest you've been to me in a while. You're so polite,” he muttered sarcastically. He stood, then walked over to Ivar

  • Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha    Chapter 216: Naive And Dumb

Ivara's POVMy lips parted, yet no words came out. It was as though my mind had suddenly emptied, leaving nothing but the echo of Isagi’s words.“You heard the warriors say that?” I asked.Isagi nodded. “They talked a lot during breaks. Listening to them was one of the highlights of my time in Silver Moon. So, yes, I heard it—and the coward himself confirmed it. He was the one bragging about everything.” He hesitated.“They said you had a thing for warriors and were always watching them like some sicko. So your sister decided to lend you one of them, and naturally, she picked the most useless one.” He sighed.I swallowed, but it did nothing to ease the ache spreading through my chest. I forced a smile. “I guess I can't blame you. I really was dumb and blind.” I tried to laugh it off.“I don't blame you, either. It's easy to understand why you'd fall for that. They said all he had to do was speak kindly to you, treat you well, and shield you from abuse and you fell for him. Silver Moon

  • Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha    Chapter 215: Less Insulting?

Ivara's POV“So, um… need some company? A helping hand, maybe? I'm bored with nothing to do, so I figured I could keep you company. I promise I won't bore you to death,” Isagi said, shattering the serenity.I almost scowled at him.I looked up from the flowers, my gaze drifting toward him. He was busy on his phone, a smug smile on his face. But as I stared at him, a frown began forming on my face. I had questions for him, questions that had been bothering me.“I'm done here, so there's nothing to help with,” I replied. He looked up briefly. “So, can I stay? I'm free today.”“No. I still do not trust you.” I shrugged.“I'm leaving Dark Hound for a while. Today's my last day here, so don't be so strict.”My brows furrowed. He'd been here for barely two weeks, and he was leaving already? I guess he really loved wandering Athynra. “You’re leaving?”“For a while. I've got a lot of things I have to handle. So let me stay with you today.” He blinked. “Huh?”I considered it for a moment befor

Xlynor’s POV “You know how much I hate repeating myself, Aaron,” I muttered, my gaze fixed outside the window. “You and I both know this isn’t everything you stole.”“My Lord, please forgive me. I wasn’t in the right state of mind. I needed to sort my mother's bill and it was my only option. Pleas

IVARANo, this shouldn't be happening. Not after everything I went through just to escape.“Father!” I yelled, struggling with the guards who were trying to rip my clothes off me. Of course, they'd obey him, the almighty Gamma.Father stopped in his tracks, then spun around. Even the guards paused.

IVARA“What makes you think you should eat that when you didn’t spend a dime on it?”“You're useless!”“You should be dead! IVARA What had just happened? One second, I was waiting for Adrian in the park, the next? I was here, half-conscious in some confinement.Confinement? A fvcking confinement! My eyes widened. What?I dragged myself up, my legs wobbling as the room spun around.“No, no.” I whispered, I couldn't poss
