IVARA“What makes you think you should eat that when you didn’t spend a dime on it?”“You're useless!”“You should be dead! I blame Loyd for bringing this crap into our world!”“Look around, does anyone here live without a wolf? Even the Omegas are above you!” My stepmother, Maybelline’s insults and taunts over the years kept echoing, over and over in my head. Why do they hate me so much? I’m always trying. I just want to live. Is that so wrong? But finally, at this point, I realized that nothing I did mattered to my family. No kindness, no hard work. After all, I was just the child from my father’s affair with a human, probably cursed to be wolfless. What did I expect?“Families aren't allowed in the Dark Hell, so I guess this is the part where we say our goodbyes, sister.” Dahlia’s voice snapped me from my thoughts.Together, her and Adrian turned their backs on me and began leaving. “Wait!” I scrambled to my feet, the weakness in me dispersing instantly.“You can’t leave me here!

Xlynor’s POV “You know how much I hate repeating myself, Aaron,” I muttered, my gaze fixed outside the window. “You and I both know this isn’t everything you stole.”“My Lord, please forgive me. I wasn’t in the right state of mind. I needed to sort my mother's bill and it was my only option. Please, show mercy.” The man kneeling behind me (Aaron) begged while banging his forehead brutally on the floor.I scoffed. Mercy? Was there any other word I despised more?I spun around. “Why? You knew exactly what you were doing when you sneaked into the gold vault, stole ten bars of gold, and ran away from Dark Hound, thinking you could hide in Silver Moon Pack.” I chuckled darkly. These little wolves loved to test my patience. Yet when I acted, I became the evil one.“Just tear him apart already. I can’t stand this. You know that I lack patience.” Barkow, one of the demons I was cursed with, was already growling and trying to force possession on me.“Patience Barkow.”Being born as a half dem

IVARA “He wouldn’t let me into his manor, yet he brought this thing here and even gave her a room? Who the hell is she?”  The rants and screams filtering into my ear forced me awake. I stirred, my eyes fluttering open and the first thing I saw was the face towering over mine while staring at me in curiosity. Our eyes went wide at the same time and then a loud scream erupted from our lips. The lady towering over me stumbled back while I fell off the bed, frightened by that rare view. I was finally able to take in the woman’s features. Black curly hair, held up in a bun, brown eyes and a really pretty round face… she reeked of what I would call old money. “Who are you and why were you looking at me like that?” I asked, my breath heavy. The lady tucked a loose strand of her hair b

Ivara's POVIf making mistakes and getting into trouble were a profession, I’d be its CEO.“What's going on? Why do I keep returning to the same place over and over again?” I muttered as I ran as fast as my legs would allow, with my eyes scanning the area.I stopped running when I couldn't breathe properly anymore. My chest rose and fell too fast. I was about to fall when I quickly held one of the trees for support. My lips parted, and I fell to the floor, sitting right below the tree with my back resting on it.My heart slammed against my ribs, desperate to escape, and I feared I might pass out. After I jumped through the balcony, I had sustained a few scratches, cuts and, most of all, a broken limb, but still I ran like my life depended on it… maybe staggered.I hadn't gone too far when I suddenly found myself in the woods. I didn't know how I got here, it was just a few minutes, maybe an hour after I left the Manor, so how come the woods? It was a bit suspicious at first, but I didn

Ivara's POV“You should drink it—maybe just a mouthful or two. Come on, baby face.” Prince Eryndor cooed from the other end of the bed, a bowl of soup in his hands.I shook my head, retreating to the corner of the bed. “No, I'm not taking it. It helps with nothing, I still see stuff, and…and.” My voice cracked, and I swallowed hard, unable to complete my sentence.I kept wallowing and crying about how unlucky, unfair, and cruel life had been to me, but this… this was worse, like the worst phase of my life, and yes, I regretted being born. After I tried escaping and then passed out, I woke up inside this room… back at Dark Hound but not the manor. At first, I thought everything was fine, not until I realized I had been unconscious for a week plus. The realization was still sinking in when the hallucinations took over and, since then, my life has never remained the same.
