Giovanni looks at her sleeping figure. She had been in and out of consciousness for the last few days, the bullets really did a number on her. If he didn't see that red dot on the back of Emily's head, this would be a completely different scene. 

He was going on a lunch date with Gianna, yet out of habit, he wore his kevlar vest, who would have thought that habit would save his life.
