I am a stranger to this pack

AURORA

Slap!

My dad’s palm met my cheeks for the first time.

“You will reject him, Aurora. It's an order, not a request. I won't live to see you together with him,” he solely declared.

“You can resolve your issues with him, Dad. My bond with him can bring our pack together, we’ll all be strong together…”

My words were welcomed by gasps from everyone.

“I told you you were spoiling this girl too much, now look what is happening,” the beta butted in again, earning a glare from me.

“Don’t act like you are that relevant. You are just beta, so just stick to the pack’s business and stay off mine!” I lashed at him.

“You…” he tried speaking, but my dad cut him off.

“Aurora, the next time you set your eyes on that bastard, reject him,” my dad stated.

“My mate is not a bastard!” I defended, glaring hard at him.

“You’ll stand against me just for an enemy?” he asked, his voice down in disappointment

“He is not just anyone, he is my mate. You've always let me have things my way, why can't you give in, Dad?” I stomped my feet on the ground. Doing this had always made him give in to my requests.

“Not this time, Aurora. You'll have to choose between him and this pack,” he declared.

My eyes widened. This was by no means what I expected to hear from him.

“Dad,” I whispered, but then his gaze on me was cold and soulless. It was the first time he looked at me this way.

“Fine. You've made up your mind anyway,” I said stubbornly refusing to let things go his way.

Rushing over to the nearest table, I picked up one of the knives on it I stretched out my palm and positioned the knife's blade on it.

Murmurs filled the hall.

“I'll slice my palm and reject the pack,” I muttered, looking up at my dad.

I didn't care, I was used to having everything my way and I wasn't going to let things go otherwise. My dad hated to see me hurt, I was almost sure that he’d accept my mate just to make sure I did not hurt myself.

“Accept my mate or I'll really end my ties with the pack,” I threatened.

“I'm going back to the mansion. Make sure to find that bastard and reject him before coming back,” my dad growled and turned away from me.

Anger coursed through my veins.

“You always claim you love me, I guess it's all a lie. You don't even want to see me happy,” I yelled at him, but he never looked back and kept walking away.

“You know what? I'll just go be with my mate since you don't even care about me!”

Eyes closed and teeth gnashed, I dragged the sharp blade of the knife on my palm, tearing it

“I Aurora Ryker cease to have any ties with the Riverbells pack. From this moment on, I am a stranger to this pack!”

I spilled my blood on the floor, sealing it all.
