Chapter Thirteen.

“You were right,” Sierra tells Aurora.

“I told you this was a good movie,”

I glance over my shoulders at the two of them really interested in the beauty and the beast. The two of them make me smile and that makes me forget all about Dwayne and his stupid notions that I’m going back to Nikolai. I haven’t looked in Avery’s direction though I know he’s been taking glances at me. I saw through the corner of my eye but I’m too afraid to look back at him. What must be going through his head right now makes me nervous.

“You never did tell us what your dad wanted. He’s so impatient I swear the way he treats you is more like an employee than a daughter,” Sierra says.

Her words cut me like a knife. She’s right he does but the thing is he doesn’t treat his employees this badly.
