Amy
What the hell just happened? I just accepted to spend my day with Jace, that's it. What about the book I have to edit on my computer? I will surely need a lot of catching up to do after this. I can't just turn him down after showing up at my apartment early in the morning. I have to loosen up. I can't just keep myself locked up in this apartment with my thoughts running wild about dimpled cheeks when I can spend the day watching them. I don't want to live in hiding anymore.
"I thought you wouldn't come out of there," Jace says as I meet him where I left him out of the apartment.
"What did you think I was doing?" I ask out of mere curiosity.
"Having second thoughts," he replies.
"That crossed my mind," I tell him.
"But you still came?"
"Yes, for some strange reason I like your company," I tell him and he chuckles lightly. We begin walking across the street.
"Where do you want to go?" he asks.
"Where were you planning on taking me?" I ask.
"I could take you to lots of places," he says.
"Such as..." I press.
"The woods," he replies with a smirk.
"I thought they were out of bounds," I reply with an equal smirk.
"Are you smirking at me?" he asks while cocking his head to one side.
"I hope so," I reply
"I thought I am the one who does that," he smiles.
"Who said you could and I couldn't?" I say.
"Are we going to stand here all day and give each other comebacks or what?" he inquires. I just smile.
The morning air is refreshing. It isn't that early though. The small town looks busy and everyone is going about their businesses. I can't help but admire the beauty of the town. I have been in the town for over a month but walking around it with Jace by my side is a thousand times better.
Jace being Jace, he keeps giving the strangest descriptions of places making me smile the whole time and my cheeks hurt. He seems very familiar with this place.
"How long have you lived here?" I can't help but ask.
"Since I was born," he replies.
"No doubt you are very familiar with this place," I say.
"Unlike you who was walking herself into the woods," he says with a raised eyebrow. I swat his arm.
"Will you give that up? What's with you and those woods?" I ask.
"We're you never warned about dangerous creatures that live in woods?"
"What kind of creatures could live near this town?"
"A lot," he replies.
"You mean like wolves and hyenas?" I ask with a laugh.
"Yes, but hyenas excluded. I haven't seen any around this place," he replies with a serious tone that makes me want to roll my eyes.
"Wolves? Like normal wolves or werewolves? Which ones have you seen?"
"Both," he says.
"You've ever seen a werewolf? Like those from the novels and TV?" I ask.
"Yes but more realistic," he replies.
"Oh, maybe I should be more careful this time," I say sarcastically.
"You have no regard for your safety, " he says as he shakes his head.
"So you mean I could have been eaten by a wolf or something," I say.
"Yes," he replies.
"Are they that dangerous?" I ask.
"Some yes," he says. "Others are good wolves."
"How do you know that?" I ask.
"I was raised by a pack of wolves," he says with a grin.
"Like for real?"
"Yes," his face is serious. Jace jokes a lot and it's very confusing for me to know whether he is serious or not. This whole wolf thing is giving me chills. How can a human being be raised by a pack of wolves?
"You are overthinking the situation," Jace breaks through my reverie.
"No, I am not," I lie.
"Your nose has become longer," he says with a dimpled smile. I am tempted to look at my nose which is of course the normal size.
"Pinocchio?" I raise a brow at him.
"Hey, I also read some books," he says.
"I can see that," I say.
"Do you want to have some late breakfast?" he asks. "I know a great place."
"Sure," I reply.
The restaurant was a nice place and the food was amazing. I have to note it down so that I can come here more often.
"I had a nice time," I tell Jace as we walk back to the apartment.
"Me too," he replies.
"We should go back another time. it will be my treat this time," I tell him in hopes of getting to spend with him some time after today.
"Sure," he says. I almost jump about out of excitement but I manage to keep my cool.
"Okay," I say with a smile.
"Do you want to go home now," he asks. Oh, no. I thought we were going to spend the whole day together.
"It's still early," I say.
"It is. Where do you want to go?" he asks.
"Anywhere," I say. A smile covers his face and his dimples show. I hope I didn't sound too desperate.
"Anywhere, Amy? Are you sure?" I can imagine different locations running in his mind.
"Show me where you live," I say.
"Are you sure? I told you I was raised by a pack of wolves," he says.
"Wolves or people, I don't care," I say with a shrug.
"Okay, it's your funeral," he chuckles.
"I don't they will be as savage as you make them sound," I tell him.
"I never said they were savages," he says.
"That is the picture you gave me," I tell him.
"I am not to blame for what pictures your mind makes out of situations," he says flatly.
"Do you have to call your family a pack of wolves?" I ask.
"That is what they are," his tone is serious. I just roll my eyes at his seriousness.
TWO YEARS LATER Amy I finally dash down the stairs after staying in the bathroom for almost half an hour staring at the results of the pregnancy test. I am afraid that I might be too excited and this may be a fake result. For all the two years of being married to Jace, we have been trying to get pregnant. After the first year of so much trying and disappointments, I gave up hope of having a baby with Jace. Everything has been going great in our marriage and the entire pack, but one thing has been lacking. Jace has always convinced me that it doesn't matter if we have a baby or not but I would notice how he looked at parents around the castle. Jose and Sophia had their first child, Bella last year. Patrick and Alexa's boy is almost two years now. There are so many kids around this place and it hurts being the only one unable to have one. Reaching downstairs, I find Jace and Jose giving instructions to the engineer who is handling the construction of Pack's hospital. Jace is plannin
Amy Today is Jace's coronation day. It is also my coronation but it is mainly Jace's. I am so happy for him. Today is the day he will officially become the Alpha of the Redclaw pack. I see him growing stronger and more hopeful every day that I wake up by his side. Saying that I moved in with him is an understatement of the fact that I can't even leave his side. Our love for each other grows stronger and stronger each morning. Most of my things are still in my apartment. I haven't even made up my mind to go and collect them. Most of the things that I am using are new: the clothes, the shoes, almost everything. I want to go back to my apartment sometime next week and pick up my laptop. I want to continue doing my job and catch up with the things I have lagged on. Jace told me there is no need for me to work, but I still insisted on doing my job. I love my job and it doesn't demand a lot from me. I know I will always save time to sit down and edit some articles. I slowly remove Jace'
JaceTHREE WEEKS LATERThe Redclaw pack is once again in jubilation. The castle has been decorated to its maximum. All kinds of foods and drinks have filled the castle kitchen. I wonder if we will be able to finish all of it. Very long guest lists have been made. Some invited packs I have never heard of, but ofcourse Alpha Daniel of the Half moon pack is the first on the invite list. I wouldn't risk my life to dare forget to invite him. A very special seat has been saved for him and his wife, as well as his Beta.I am standing in the great hall watching the pack members as they move about joyfully decorating the place. There is nothing in this place that can act as an evidence of what happened three weeks ago. All the remains of the bloody battle were cleaned up and burnt to smithereens. Now the castle is a place where everyone comes to have their feel of happiness. Tomorrow will be my Alpha crowning ceremony and everything is a percentage more exci
AmyJace finds the door to the bathroom and opens it to check inside. A few minutes after he enters, I hear water running and then being turned off. Jace later comes out and walks to the bed."There is a bathtub big enough for us to fit. I have filled it with warm water and I think it will be more refreshing than a shower," he tells me. He looks looks at me with a secret smile. I am only dressed in pants."Should I help you with those?" he asks me referring to my pants."No need. I can manage to take them off on my own," I answer him with a smile."I don't mind helping. Besides, I enjoy helping you get naked," he says with a smirk and I swat his arm."Come here," he beckons me with open arms, and I don't think twice before responding. He helps me off the bed and I stand on my feet. He squats in front of me and slowly undoes my zipper. Carefully, he pulls my pants down to my feet and I step out of them. I am left in only in my white lace pant
JaceI had assured myself that I was dead but the feel of my girl's gorgeous lips on mine awakens every cell in my body. I pull her closer to me and engulf my arms around her. This has been a really tough day and night for both of us and I am very glad that we still have each other. Amy pulls away from the kiss and looks me in the eyes. She runs her fingers down my collar bone to my chest. She looks so weak. She must be very exhausted. She has been in this place since yesterday morning and has spent the whole night awake. That is why her lips are pale and her face looks weary."Amy," I lift my hand so that I can trace her face with my fingers. She leans her face into my hands, submitting to my touch."Have you been hurt? Anywhere?" I ask her and she shakes her head slowly in response."I am fine. I am just worried about you," she tells me."You don't have to worry about me. I will be able to heal quickly because of my werewolf ability," I te
AmyNelly leads me behind the castle away from Dwayne and his men. Jace has remained behind to stop them but I don't feel safe at all. How can I leave Jace behind and hide?"No. I am going back to Jace," I tell Nelly."What are you talking about. You are going to get yourself killed," she says."He is alone with those monsters. I have to do something. He is going to get killed," I try to explain to her but she just shakes her head."He is trying to save you. You can't just go back. You will make things worse," she tells me. I know what she is saying is right, but I don't want to leave Jace's side. He is already very wounded. I can't stop worrying about him."Come on. Let's keep going," she pleads. I look behind me but I can't see Jace anymore. I can't even hear the growls of the wolves fighting. We have already gone far from the place where I left them. I nod to Nelly and she leads me away back to the back entrance of the castle. We we
